News flash: the 1.6.2 version won't launch. I should really test these things before distributing. Trying to figure out what's needed to launch a 1.6 mod normally right now; Mojang screwed everything up again.
Hey! Nobody asked about an update! Either I'm super un-popular or we're making progress .
Anyways, I just published the 1.6.2 version to the main post. Grab Forge 771 (or higher) and follow the to install it and the mod. As always, please try to find bugs and if you do, post them here by all means! Expect awesome new content in the next update!
Big news! MineForever is having a bit of a theme change, which includes a rename. It will be renamed to Logical Engineering (if you remember, I had started a mod called this a while back but never finished it). The theme will be changed from "security" to "efficient tech". It will include many more features in the coming months. The rename will be included in the (soon-to-come) 1.6.2 release.
For those who are inevitably going to ask when it will come out: DON'T EVEN ASK. It will be out as soon as my PR gets accepted into Forge and I have time to prepare it.
minecraft is updating this week so update it plzzzzzz i love this mod cmon cmon
You act as if updating is as simple as pressing a button and calling it a day; it's not. We have to wait for MCP to update, and then Forge, and then we have to convert all of our code to any new conventions that change in the MC update. This mod is basically a new game so it will take a while to update...be patient.
If you read, you know, the last two posts you will find your answer. Seriously people, I don't have time to personally answer every one of these questions that are already answered elsewhere.
The pixelmon source code is truly massive and all very integrated. That plus the fact that we have had only one developer for practically all it's development who has a full time job means that not all bugs can be fixed. Anyone who is capable enough to help out developing it (especially with solidifying parts of code that need it) is welcome
Awesome! Just let me know how I can help. I didn't see a link to the source...I assume it's not open source?
This mod has great potential and content-wise has made great progress, but I was a bit surprised at the number of bugs I found. This is a bit odd for me to do this, but as somebody who has plenty of experience with Forge and modding, and as a Pokemaniac, I would love to see the bugs worked out and therefore offer my modding skills if you would like some code help.
Can you make a download link with zip instead of rar.
Just use WinRAR (assuming you're on Windows), it's free and can do much more than extracting RARs. If you're on Mac, use The Unarchiver; if you're on Linux it depends on what distro you're on and you should search Google for an un-RAR program.
0.2.0b changelog:
- Compiled using SRG names. This means the mod will automatically be compatible with any future Minecraft version (even 1.6) until Mojang derps something up (I'll let you guys know when that happens)
Finally Chests and Creepers! But still no support for Keyboard/Trackpad :'(. Very difficult to play on my Transformer Pad when docked. This has to be my #1 requested feature on PE now.

MC 1.6.1 and MC 1.6.2 are nearly identical modding-wise and are cross-compatible.

For vanilla. That doesn't mean that MCP and Forge will be updated.

Good to know! I'm taking a short break to finish up finals but I'll hopefully get the next version out sometime in the middle of this month.

But it does. Java is Java no matter what platform it runs on; the mod is completely compatible with Mac.

First of all...
It doesn't need to be updated.
The mod is open source so you don't need to decompile. If it was closed source that would be breaking the license anyways...

If it was for 1.5.2 it would say it was for 1.5.2...it's still being updated (thus the "updating" part).

Macs can do everything a PC can. To extract RARs (not run; they're archives, not executables) you can use an app called The Unarchiver.
