posted a message on Wolves refusing to stand
Okay, let's get this out of the way: I've already checked the wiki. I've tried using the game online and offline, I've tried getting injured in their presence, and I've tried dumping water on the wolves in question. They still refuse to stand.

Now, I have eight wolves in my base which are still acting perfectly fine. The ones that aren't moving properly are out in the wilderness, sitting around the general region in which I tamed them, and are five in number. There were no problems with them before I saved and returned. When I saved, they were all standing.

I've considered a few possibilities, but I'd rather just get the proper answer: does anybody know why my wolves refuse to stand, or how I could get them to?

This is an interesting concept. I'm personally fine with playing the games separately, but it could be cool if the two were combined.

These could make for some nice ambiance, if nothing else. Why not? I support.

This sort of passive-aggressive mob could be cool, and I'm really digging the scarecrow.

I like this idea. Sugar cubes would indeed be useful as bait and simply for greater storage capacity.

posted a message on [Mob Concept] Winged Creeper
Okay, first off, let me get this on the table: I love Creepers. Minecraft would not be Minecraft without the Creeper. I wrote a short essay about the value of the Creeper in a thread where somebody was suggesting a way to nerf it. So please take no offense when reading the following:

We do not need a Creeper with gliding ability, or the ability to spawn mini Creepers. Let's keep our standard, wonderful menaces the way they are.

    This could be...positively terrifying...

I love it. Preference for the black skin.

As far as tunneling, that might be a bit much, but maybe it could be made to work...

...No. Just no. Minecraft does not need a handgun--especially not one like this.

    ...This...would actually be pretty amusing.

That said, I like the relatively serious tone of Minecraft, so I'm afraid I cast my vote against.

    I like it.

And maybe another variant to the basic chest should be added:

    No five second delay.
    Muahahahaahah!!!

Hear, hear. What if there were a flower-crossbreeding system, as well (a la Animal Crossing), and bonemeal acted as a catalyst there, too?

This could be cool, but I honestly like the world as it is. Perhaps this would work as a future expansion, or an optional "semi-realistic" gameplay mode.

posted a message on Red And Blue Moons
This could be an interesting touch...

For added realism, what about a harvest moon? Back in the day, farmers used to love it when the moon was bright enough to tend to their field by, and called moons of that brightness "harvest moons." As for their in-game effects, aside from producing more light, I have no clue.

This may require another thread entirely, but I'd also like to see a moon-phase system, perhaps with repercussions in accordance with the new, quarter, and full phases. Red (or "blood," as I often call them), blue, and harvest moons would only occur on full-phase nights.
