It's kind of weird if you just walk up to someone and say "hey.... your hair is pretty" and it probably wouldn't work unless the girl you were talking to was insecure.
When I said compliment, I meant something like if she has a shirt about a band you like, say you love that shirt, don't walk up and tell her she has a nice ass.
It really depends on how you articulate the compliment. Using it as just kind of a simple opener is fine, but some people think that by the time they've told them that that their fate is sealed and they're suddenly so invested in each other.
Going up to someone and saying "wow your hair is really pretty" can be kind of weird and uncomfortable. It's not just degrading "compliments" but compliments like that, period.
Someone's posted my face and tumblr URL (which includes my information and IP address if they could manage something like that) on 4chan before and I was completely fine, still am.
Unless someone can make a convincing story about how you cheated on them or destroyed their life, no one is going to knight for you unless there's some sick comedic value in it.

Being a nerd is just being a nerd, that's it. Nothing more to it.
No one should feel superior or inferior for being something. This whole counter-bully movement that we're getting out of has taught people being a nerd is "cool" and trying to bolster it above being something else.
When are we going to learn to respect everyone's differences and recognize our strengths and weaknesses? When are we going to jump away from mob-thinking and labels?
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but if you want anything done in life you're going to have to do it yourself. Giving credit for someone's art isn't enough to compensate the time and effort they might put into making your intro.

I'm not sure why it's telling you to update your drivers. It's not like your graphics card is bad or that it isn't updated... might wanna continue to search somewhere on google. I'll report this thread so that it can get moved to Computers and Technology, and maybe you'll get some better help there. (:
