known bug. Your playing in creative mode, Eloraam hasn't fixed that yet, it will work fine in survival mode.

I remember having the problem back in Minecraft 1.7.3 too. So it affects Survival Mode aswell.

*sigh* still have stubborn wires... had this problem back when I was using RedPower 1.5.1 because of Optifine's Forge API conflict, but now OptiFine is compatible with Forge, so I updated to RedPower 2, and this problem still hasn't been fixed yet. I realise that RedPower 2 isn't a stable release yet, but this bug is from a previous stable version.

Edit: the problem appears to be happening to every RedPower object I place...

Other than that, it's a really nice mod. :smile.gif:

It shouldn't excist. It makes the game too easy. My brother says that he is too scared to play on easy or higher, because of monsters, hunger, it basicly ruins everything. Easy should be to lowest difficulity.

Let your brother play Minecraft the way he wants to. If peaceful was removed, it would ruin the game for many people. I'm arachophobic (and I'm sure there are other arachnophobics lurking around on these forums too), and this forces me to play on peaceful. I get a bigger fright out of a spider than a creeper, literally.

Don't like the peaceful difficulty? Then don't use it, simple.

It shouldn't be allowed to complain about 100% optional features.

A new rule for this would be great.

if your using optifine for the fps boost... try downloading and installing the latest version of LWJGL instead. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tutorials/Update_LWJGL

its boosted my fps by 30-40 even when using a 128x128 texture pack!

No, my main concern is that OptiFine fixes the very noticeable lag spikes which occur every two seconds in Vanilla Minecraft, this lag spike is caused by automatic world saving every two seconds apparently. They may be less noticable if you have a solid-state drive though as data can be read/written more efficiently and without fragmentation.

Thanks for linking me to that anyway, I like to keep my software up-to-date. :smile.gif:

I'm using an outdated version of this mod, willing to upgrade, but the latest version requires MinecraftForge, which I heard conflicts with OptiFine.

If you could get this mod to function without MinecraftForge, it would be great. Sacrificing OptiFine would be like trying to run Crysis 2 on a computer only meeting the minimum hardware requirements, in other words, worse performance. The most annoying thing without having OptiFine is the constant lag spikes caused by automatic world saves every 2 or so seconds.

If that's too hard for you, could you possibly tell me the latest version that doesn't require MinecraftForge?

posted a message on Texture Pack Crash
I know, but it only seems to crash when using the pack. The others packs I have installed (various resolutions), don't crash.

By the way, it's a black screen crash. I don't see the "Minecraft has crashed" crash dump screen either.

I even made the rain change on my other computer, and it didn't crash. But I haven't been able to access that computer since then.

posted a message on Texture Pack Crash
Well, I've been working on a new texture pack, which is based on the default 16x16. It's coming along nicely, and one thing I wanted to change was the rain, it looks like it's falling too slow in the default textures, so I changed it.

I also wanted to change the colour of the water too. But after doing that, Minecraft crashed... so I undid the water change.

After fixing that, I went to one of my worlds to test out the rain. So I enabled weather, then typed in the command for rain (Single Player Commands mod), and Minecraft crashed again...

Why does Mc crash when I change the rain and water colour?

Edit: just to clear things up, it isn't because of my comupter shitting itself, My computer isn't that bad. And if it was, I'd build a new one.

Other texture packs run like clockwork and don't cause any issues.
