Can this be installed on a mac? I've been trying but it won't work. I've even tried using MCpatcher to install it, and it works with other mods I've installed.
Except you're wrong. Modders always have owned the rights to their mods since the first tweak mod months ago. It was not a recent change in laws that gave modders a chance to post copyright and legal notices, but instead a sudden increase in redistribution, in cases much like this one.
That rules out my logic.
But wait, this is still on the websi- oh, wait, nevermind.
It still applies nevertheless.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I think he doesn't check this particular thread anymore, he's started a new one. I don't know where. It is now.
You do realize this is considered redistributing mods without their permission, and is subject to lawsuit in some cases. You must have written consent from the authors -- yes, every single one of them -- in order to include them in mod packs. For that reason, I'd suggest you immediately stop this service.
This is true, however, this 'service' WAS put in before mod owners could officially copyright their mods, and thus were free for distribution. It's also a bit late to tell him to stop, as the thread has been here since March.
Due to updates and many more updates coming next week. I am unable to do mod lists at the moment.
All I can assure everyone is that when Minecraft is official released I will be able to make ANY mod list.
That is all.
I want to have a snow covered map again, like in Alpha worlds before the Halloween update. Minecraftwiki says that you can do it by: "activating the SnowCovered parameter in level.dat using a map editor." However, I do not know what map editor to use, and I don't know how to activate the parameter anyway.
I've got a question, For werzieq's pack, do you just put everything in custom or something else?
It actually doesn't matter whether you put the files in custom or extra, but putting all custom building plans in custom makes it easier to upgrade if Kinniken redesigns buildings in extra.
Ok, Thanks! I just put the "Core" and "extra" folders from werzieq's file into my custom folder.
