OHAI GUYS I MADE A WHEAT FARM SO ILL JUST MAKE A THREAD ON THE FORUMS ABOUT IT!!!
Welcome to Twitt..MinecraftForum. Lol.
OT: Cool. Any point making this thread if you're not going to tell us anything? What's this discussion supposed to be about anyway? Doesn't seem like it has much of a point...
Guys, I just took another look at the OP, he's asking specifically for a nether mobfarm for cooked porkchops. I think it would be a good idea to not comment on how an overworld grinder would be better than a nether one, or to create alternatives, but to try and create a nether grinder. I know, hypocrite, but I didn't realize it :sad.gif:
Make an open air trap for pigs and wait for a thunderstorm...
Or do what I do and switch from cooked porkchops to mushroom stew. Mushroom farms are easier to build than mob traps in the nether.
Mobs can't spawn on half blocks or any other transparent block.
@part1ofyourpost: Mentioned it above.
@part2: Same as part1
@part3: That's the point? I said cover everything with half blocks so mobs are forced to spawn in the grinder.
you can make a grinder without lava
dispensers
cactus
...other stuff maybe
Only problems I had with those were that cactus destroys items and dispensers need arrows :sad.gif: I might try for a pigman farm soon. Or maybe I'll be lazy and do it in concept because MCEdit doesn't like to work on my computer.
Do you realize how many halfblocks that would take?
It's better than nothing. If the point is to make a NETHER farm. If it's only cooked porkchops the op's after, then an overworld grinder would be best.
I am working on 2 different versions I will upload a video when I am done.
Sorry if I happen to necroposting, but I haven't had much time to check the forums lately. Haven't looked at this thread for quite a while.
As for the 4 step method, why not let traders see the other items before they hit accept/decline? That's what I did on mine. I used a glass floor with an angled wall. Two buttons.
I'm assuming your redstone would hook up an andgate to the accept, and an orgate to the decline.
Haha yeah. I've just figured out the way. :]
Here's my design:
I thought of this too, but it's a bit costly in terms of pistons. Instead, why not remove the top row of pistons? To stop reeds from getting stuck on top, the water currents could be changed so that the center piston also allows the water to flow on top of the (EDIT: Top row of) pistons.
EDIT2: Or make it 2 high instead. I believe it should still run at the same speed.
Your design is quite cool, but I have a pistonless one :biggrin.gif: It's something like (xyz) 7x13x11, but I'm not exactly sure.. Haven't loaded up that world in the longest time. I'll post a video when I find that world in my massive pile of seeds... And when I find a good free video editor.
Oh, by the way, I'm not new to the forums, my account got messed up when the new ones came out and I haven't bothered posting since. :sad.gif:
Glad to see new uses for pistons, though!
EDIT: I just read over my post..I sounded really negative...Sorry about that..Too early in the morning :sad.gif:

MINECRAFT GOLF!!!!!!!! Lol
You shoot the arrow on to the pad and it gives you a signal when you win xD
Problem w/wireless redstone idea: Dispensers aren't infinite... :sad.gif:

*Looks at pistons/minecarts*
