For all the curious out there.

Searge tweeted MCPBOT is done, MCP 9.24 beta coming soon.

    https://twitter.com/SeargeDP/status/704958649924509696

I have been playing all the 1.9 snapshots and the one thing I missed most was Optifine.

I can do without my other mods, but it is rough without Optifine.

Thanks for the fine work sp614x, I very much appreciate it.

    posted a message on LiteLoader

I have notice the very long load times on Ubuntu 14.04. If I start the game not in full screen mode, it will load 5 mods in @ 30 secs. However if started in fullscreen it takes a good 5 minutes or more.

To eliminate having to remember to exit fullscreen before exiting the game I wrote a bash script to auto edit the config to ensure it was not in fullscreen when started.

It only does this when using Liteloader. Starting vanilla in fullscreen is not a problem.

I just noticed something in 1.8 A6; On the framerate slider, if I slide it to vsync, my framerate (shown by f3) goes to 740(my max), but if I click it there, it goes to 60. Also, If I slide it to vsync and my framerate is showing 740, I can reload the textures or restart the game and I'm back to 60.

I tried it with java 7 and 8. I'm using an i7-3770k, 8GB ram, and an NVIDIA GTX760 with latest drivers on Windows 7.

My max fps without OptiFine is 560, I'm getting a 32% increase.

Thanks a ton for this sp614x, it's great!

The rewrite to 1.8.0 has to be finished first.

See the progress on the first page.

Been trying your mod the last couple of days, must say I like it. Especially the multirod and the not breaking, now that we can repair rods.

There is one thing that I have noticed that might need some TLC. When fishing with a non enchanted rod, there were many times that just before the fish got to the bobber, it would recast. It did this several times, but with the lure enchantment, it did not seem to be a problem.

Could you put a toggle for turning off the reset timer or a way to change the 45 sec delay time? This may be the problem BudderFish is having of only catching 1 fish in an hour.

Using this mod is much better than building a redstone-autofish-machine that breaks your good rod.

Thanks again for a great mod.

I come here to find answers and updates to this fine program.

But it is difficult when the entire thread is complaints about people not reading the thread, not to mention three pages of larger than life text that is supposed to be help. It just makes it more difficult. All they know is that multiplayer isn't working.

Why not just link to the post where sp614x stated there was a problem.

Oh by the way, I did a site search and also went to sp614x's profile and looked at his posts. The post you reference was not found.

    Just my 2 cents.

I have worked out the formula to determine the proper repeater settings of the delay circuit as you increase the height of the tower.

Take the number of droppers in the tower divided by 4, round the result to the nearest whole number (.5 rounds up), next multiply by 6, then subtract 3.

The result is the total repeater ticks. A repeater when first placed is 1, full on is 4.

    A tower 29 droppers high would be, 29 / 4 = 7.25 rounded to 7 x 6 = 42 - 3 = 39
This result of 39 would need a 10 repeater delay circuit, 9 repeaters full on at 4 and another repeater at 3.

The only variable in this formula is the multiplier, which is determined by the setting of the repeater in the clock circuit. The above formula is for the fastest setting of 2.
To determine the multiplier, take the setting of the repeater next to the comparator (this is part of the clock and must be at least 2), add 1 then multiply by 2.
    For example, a clock repeater setting of 3 (slower operation) would be (3 + 1) x 2 = 8

A setting other than 2 would however be a waste of resources, a setting of 3 would cause an increase in repeaters. From the above 29 dropper example, the 10 repeater delay circuit would need 14 repeaters.

    Check out this thread.

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1727908-15-sticky-piston-1-tick-toggle-fix/

Two solutions to your problem there, one piston based another repeater based.

A comparator is 1/2 tick according to the wiki, so four in your configuration would be 2 ticks.

posted a message on 1.5 sticky piston 1 tick toggle fix
Found a fix for toggling a block with 1 tick sticky piston.
Use a sticky piston, redstone block, repeater and a torch.
Similar to the pulse generator I have been using.

    Hope this helps.

munin295 described this method using 3 repeaters. I thought I would post a video showing it in action.

I'm glad we can still make this work, the update broke several of my favorite circuits.
