Sometimes nether portals appear in random locations, it's to do with the shifting of portals to appear in safe locations in the nether and on the surface. I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info if you use the search feature.
I want a cow spawner for the leather armor, cause I ball.
The spawner has a cow in it; looks completely fine and everything LOOKS correct; however, the cows never spawn.

I personally dont think theyre overrated simply due to the fact that they can blast apart everything you know and love. And they are epic! =D
But also, for the people saying theyre not a big deal, you must A) play on a difficulty easier than hard, :cool.gif: not constantly throw yourself into danger like its nothing or C) you sit in a hole and do nothing the whole time you play minecraft. You log on to leave minecraft open and sip some tea.

Everyone else who posted is right. I like spelunking caves, but sometimes im in a cave for days mining things out, and if my torches started going out before i left id be pissed. Or a worse scenario, i sometimes branchmine for HOURS nonstop, and if my torches started going out behind me,

netherrack is essentially a lantern.
So is glowstone.
So are torches.
