Do not ask me any of the typical redundant questions that I continuously see repeated like a broken record on every single help thread. Of course I reinstalled, and uninstalled different Java versions. Of course I restarted my computer. Of course I've tried both 64-Bit, and 32-Bit Java versions. Do not ask me these kinds of dimwitted questions. I came to the forums looking for an answer, and it is so difficult to get a straightforward answer out of you people. Please. Do not make me waste my time any more than I already have.
Okay, now that I've gotten my rant out of the way... Onto the issue itself. I downloaded the latest MineCraft SnapShot server .Jar (14w29b) from the Mojang website; www.mojang.com and immediately launched the file once I created a folder on my desktop for it. I 'agreed' to the 'EULA' agreement by changing value in the eula.txt file to 'true'.
Upon launching the Server .Jar, I received an IOException error. Note that this is not one of the IOE errors pertaining to a missing file. Those are immediately rectified upon launch. This IOE error continues to appear, even after shutting down, and restarting the server. I realise that most, if not all of you will believe that this 'error' is nothing to worry about, however; I don't care. I want to know exactly what is causing it.

Before you say "Oh! Have you tried using a different version of Java?" please refer to what I stated above. I've tried Just about every version of JRE 7, JRE 8, and JRE6. I still recieve this error. I've spent hours just sitting here, installing a new version of Java, restarting my system.. then booting the server up, seeing the Error, shutting it down, uninstalling Java, installing a new one.. and repeating. Over. And over. And over...

I want a straight answer, from someone who knows exactly what this is, so I can fix it. A Generic Dell 0DT031 Microprocessor 'Server' Motherboard.
Two Intel Xeon DP Quad Core 5050 CPUs @3.0GHz.
A 1GB EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti Graphics Card.
Two screens: 1440x900, 1680x1050. Both Dell, both 2009.
An old 300GB Samsung HDD from 2004.
A Dell Precision WorkStation 490 'Case'.
A 750W Dell Power Supply.
I have almost nothing else Running on my system. I have little to nothing installed, no AntiVirus, no stupidly useless programmes such as Steam, or other junk. Nothing that runs 24/7. With the server running, only 2% of my CPUs are being used. 1% of my Ram is being used.
In my 'process' list in the Task Manager, I only have 8 Processes running. Another 7 processes if you count all of the threads that Google Chrome uses to run. I have a download speed of 105Mb/s, and Upload of 20Mb/s. That is 13MB, and 2.5MB respectively.
There is absolutely nothing at all to suggest improper configuration, Lagg, or internet connectivity issues. This is an error that deals with Java, or JavaScript; something of which I know nothing about. If this 'Error' is pointing towards a file, or a misconfigured 'something', then I would not know, because I do not know how to read Java Errors. Which of course is why I am posting here.
If I am offending anyone with my words, I apologise. My temper is very short at the moment, and I have no patience left. I expended it in the hours wasted attempting to figure this bloody thing out on my own. Some help from someone who can understand my frustration, without becoming offended by my blunt way of speaking would be greatly appreciated.
All my plugins have been reinstalled and are set up correctly. The time-out issue has been resolved. If you are still interested in the server I urge you to join.
The server is currently offline. I'll keep it added to my server list for when it's back up, but untill then I'll be on RuneScape. Hope to talk to you soon.
For the most part, I believe our community-- along with the staff -- is very forgiving, and I'm sure everyone who "witnessed" what happened will put it behind them. Everyone has outbursts or bad days, and respect is something that doesn't disappear with one slip up. Honestly, more people would welcome you back if you were to return, rather than shun you.
But one thing I'd like to clarify, is that just because a plugin has something enabled by default, doesn't mean it's the plugin maker's sole intention. It could possibly just be a feature that they predict would be very popular in use. With most plugins being configurable, the intention is that the script is adaptable to fit the gameplay of the server that installs it. And that's exactly what we're doing.

I would completely agree that the community, and staff are very forgiving based on what I've seen. Although that does not change what I stated earlier. I feel uncomfortable about returning after my actions, and it is up to me to get over my feelings, and just log on. Call it embarrassment if you will, but I am ashamed of myself, and I'm still debating whether or not I should just log on right now, or wait awhile untill my stupid brain lets me get over my 'feelings'.
As for the plugin.. Meh. I guess I perceive it differently than others. You're quite possibly right, and I'm just being stubborn as usual. I become so latched onto things, that even when something absolutely insignificant, and tiny is changed.. it totally upsets the balance for me. This change was enough to make me boycott the server entirely, thus making my accusations, assumptions, and other words and actions be utterly biased, and stubborn.
I apologise for any unneeded stress that I may have caused anyone. I had no desire to do that. If I am capable of getting over my stupidity... I will log back on. But untill I am able to convince myself to do otherwise, I cannot return. I'm sorry.

A quick google search should tell you enough about it to understand that I have 'issues' with change. When something familiar is altered in any way, I feel very uncomfortable, and I wish very strongly for it to be changed back.
However; this in no way should influence your decision about the said change. It is my problem, and I need to work around it on my own time. People shouldn't have to be subject to my stupidity. Ever. And no one should be forced to cater to my 'issues', especially in a community setting such as this MineCraft server.
@Andrew_Wheeler A fair amount of mcmmo abilites combined with the jobs plugin are straight up broken. That is why we are taking them out untill we find another way to make it so that you can not make a million in game dollars over night. If that's all it takes for you to leave then I don't know what to tell you.
I believe that you misunderstand my intentions if you think that I have any 'care' about money in the game. I don't value Ranks, money, or any other cosmetic feature. I simply wish to play the game with the features enabled, as the Plugin Makers intended it to be.

Well... EggBert explained this to me, (Or he attempted to, but my idiocy wouldn't allow his logic to penetrate my thick skull.) and I understand to a point. He said that he wishes to make it so that it only works on 'normal' sized trees, not on the massive Jungle Trees and such.
However... as I stated previously, the whole point of the Tree Feller ability, is to knock those trees down in one fell swoop. It was purposely designed with those trees in mind. So to disable it, in favour of the smaller ones is not something I can understand.
The fact that you cannot understand why I would quit is no surprise to me. You aren't the first, nor will you be the last to not understand why any kind of 'change' makes me throw up my hackles. Well, a major mistake was made in a decision by the owner, and I will not be returning untill he decides to return what once was, back to it's original state. The Mcmmo ability 'TreeFeller' has been disabled, thus rendering yet another Mcmmo feature unusable.
The entire point of TreeFeller, was so that players could chop down giant Jungle Trees, and RedWood trees. To remove it, and claim that this is the reason it was removed; is both childish, and naive. I'm sorry, but I refuse to continue playing any further untill this has been returned to it's proper setting.
If it is never returned to it's rightful state, then I guess this is goodbye. It was nice meeting a few of you people; and I'll miss Naomi and her Cheesy Bread. Good luck people.
I wrote out a long and bitchy message detailing my feelings towards this server. But then deleted it as I realised it would do no good. I can only say I wouldn't recommend this server to play on. There are far better Towny servers with far greater freedom afforded to players in them then this server provides.
Call it spiteful, But I can only hope this server slowly dies due to inactivity. I am moving on.

Truth be told, if you hadn't been kicked from your Town, I am sure that you would not have posted this, and you would still be playing, happy and laughing with everyone else. Your own actions define who you are Ben. It is your choice to move on, at no blame to the server. If you wish to come back, and try again, I'm sure we would like to have you online again.

Well, the last time something like this occurred on a server I played, it was due to them using a 'Developmental' release of Spigot. The build was not stable, and it had issues. The only other thing I can think of would be Bandwidth. If whatever you use to host the server has low Bandwidth, or a very high Ping, then this would cause constant 'Time-Outs'.
Other than that, I'm at a loss as to why it happens. I appreciate your response, and I wish you luck on rectifying this issue. And yea, I noticed that there were about eight players on yesterday. It's nice that you have a good number of players that wish to stick around. =)
If you ever do manage to find a solution to this, I would happily return, because as I stated earlier... I really do like the combination of Plugins you use. It feels very well thought out, and easily accommodating to new players. If I wasn't so picky about disconnection issues... I'd be one of those dedicated players.
Well... I gave the server a go, and I kept having 'Time Out' errors where it would boot me offline and keep my account logged in. You can see what I mean in this screenshot:
Obviously if I'm in the 'Multiplayer' selection list, I'm not logged in. Yet the server claims that I am still connected. This is a recurring issue, and for the most part it renders your server virtually unplayable for me due to these constant kicks. My character remains 'online' untill the server disconnects it for afk'ing too long.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could look into fixing this problem, because I'm sure it is not something that you want your server doing to potential players. Personally, I enjoyed the few minutes that I was able to play before it booted me offline... I like the combinations of Plugins you utilise. However, as long as this 'issue' continues to reoccur, I am both unwilling, and unable to return to your server.
It's seems like a decent server if you want to join a town, but if you want to settle your own town you need well over $100,000 in paid rank to buy a $5000 town, then the daily upkeep is also $5000. You get that by grinding out "jobs" which is very unfun. Selling to the server through essentials is not an option and the auction house is hit and miss and a rank privilege to sell. Those that have towns now got them early before this huge price spike... apparently they don't want too many towns here. Balancing and tweaks are one thing, but the changes are very extreme here and there has been more than one price spike when it comes to towns.

I honestly believe that the 'perks' of establishing a Town far outweigh the costs. It's PvP-free, Mob-Free, you have locked chests, and many more benefits. Besides.. some people love a challenge. I myself am looking forwards to the road of earning my right to start up a Town. It's a long one, but well worth it.
As far as the Daily 'upkeep' you mentioned... Err.. I don't get technical. I just play, chat, and have fun. When I manage to earn something, it's a nice surprise as to planning ahead and counting every little percentage of progress you make. Doing that just makes it feel un-fun, and not worthwhile because you are forcing yourself to monitor it. Just don't do that lol. It's a game, not a competition. xD
I don't mind the prices, or requirements for anything. I'm simply happy to be a part of a server with such a wonderful community. Play, laugh, and have fun. It's a game. If you can't do that, then why bother playing? All you're doing is causing unneeded stress for yourself. O.o

Well... I joined this server yesterday, and I'm absolutely loving it.
The staff team is flawless, and they get along very well. The community is nice, and I've yet to see one argument, or any kind of indecent behaviour. I guess I got lucky when I picked my first server to play after three years. xD
MineCraft isn't too much different since 1.2.5... but, there are a lot of surprising changes. The most shocking were the new biomes. At first I thought someone had spend hours terraforming the land.. but then I realised that even if they terraformed it, how does that explain the grass colour, and the deep shadows under the trees?
I do have a lot to learn, but this server will hopefully help me catch up on the times.
Here's to Algardian having a long, prosperous reign in the world of MineCraft! =)
