Look, even with some flesh blocks some mobs will still attack you. Okay, let me say it like this, if you place a block down you will get mobs to go to it, if mobs spawn AFTER you placed it down then they will just target you instead.
considering pigmen were an original village mob idea... yeah why not...
we already have testicles for NPCs and they don't even fight back...
however, i am not as worried about the wolfmen considering they sound a little idiotic... i mean i know there are werewolves and whatnot but you wouldn't really make a village for them, i mean you can have wandering ones however, randomly wandering with a pack of wolves...
also, support for just pigmen village NPCs (regardless if that isn't the point of the thread or not)
As of recently my friend CHUKLAE and I were thinking of creating an RPG series similar to that of the Yogcast's series "Shadow of Israphel". The "Shadow of Israphel" series is made possible by a hard working group of players in close correlation to the two main characters Honeydew and Xephos (Simon and Lewis). We wish to create a similarly produced RPG series on a server that will then be recorded (using FRAPS) and posted on the reserved Youtube channel MinecraftUnitedAUS.
The Youtube channel MinecraftUnitedAUS is a Minecraft dedicated channel that CHUKLAE and I planned to post Minecraft videos on. The one thing about our channel is that we are both Australian and as such we have different time zones to British or American players.
-----
For this to work we need the following:
Storyline - At the moment there is no storyline, it will however be based around the two main characters and will require them to embark on a grand journey.
Map - We need a world to base the story in, it will be made according to the storyline and it will feature set paths between the different locations. We will try to make at least five different main cities and a few other important locations.
Willing players / NPCS - For this adventure to be more than exploration we need players willing to be the NPCs in the world, they will go by a set script and only deviate if the main character requests things or whatnot. For example...
CHUKLAE: "I am dying here NPC, can you give me some pork?"
NPC: "Certainly, here you go. *gives pork*"
That will not be in the script obviously but it may occur at different parts and the players will need to be able to keep the storyline intact.
-----
The players will need to fall into our time zones or are willing to stay awake or whatnot in order to film. Obviously we will credit all players accordingly in our videos.
Now, we will not be starting anytime soon as we wish to organize well in advance, for now a storyline is needed and ideas towards character names, town names, town designs, etc.
We will continue to go back to this thread to update. Also, contact me via message if you want to talk about the series.
so basically you can make a house out of rotten meat....very interesting :wink.gif:
I might make it like the cactus, cant place a block next to it or on top of it... that way we can avoid houses of meat. Also, 3 blocks high will probably be the maximum.
Here are some models I threw together pretty quick so they aren't anything special.
Stairs "angled" outward ^
Stairs "angled" inward ^
I'd like to know what some of you think about this idea. It's pretty simple and would definitely induce more creativity in everyone. Of course the addition of these blocks to the game would mean there would need to be brick, cobblestone, stone and wood types. The crafting of these items would need a more complex recipe though.
You can do that with slabs but I don't think you want that...
I get 9 rotten flesh on my first night while trying to get home after staying out too long hunting for food to avoid starvation. Monster spawners spawn mobs relatively slowly, much, much more than enough time to place four torches.
As I said, I really do like the idea, it just needs some tweaking to prevent exploitation.
Well I can't put a cap on when you can make them but how about the ability to NOT stack them, as if they were like doors or buckets. That way they can fit a few but probably not enough to run through shafts and whatnot.

Thank you all,

Except for:
Bulls can't be milked and will instead drop horns.
Roosters can't lay eggs and instead will have a higher feather drop rate.
Rams and sheep should drop lamb instead of wool, same shearing process, also the rams can drop horns.
Horns can be ground up and be used for bonemeal.
Male animals, even roosters, are neutral and will attack when attacked.

lol...
I don't think you are meant to...

Using the stair method or cheating in one grass block would allow grass to spread to where ever you want.
They should have a method to grow grass, like a water pail or something. The grass seeds are used for wheat in game... realistic.

In that game mode there is an end... it's called death and delete.
That is the CLOSEST we will ever get to a proper end in Minecraft, comprende?

I am assuming that's blender?

Fair enough, but for those players like me who have a good supply of bread, meat and watermelon there isn't much use to eat rotten flesh.

Maybe... I haven't thought about the wolves and the block itself...

Give me a reason why not...
