    I have been playing Minecraft since alpha beta.

    I am looking for a new Minecraft realm/server because I currently don't play on one, and am looking to do something when I'm not working.

    I really want to try your server because I'm assuming it'll have a mature player base and I don't really want to be on a server that's too big.

    I had that happen once or twice, under different circumstances.

    Unfortunately, I too had to end up starting from scratch.

    I uninstalled whatever client the server was running on,

    and re-downloaded it.

    My guess is that the crash may have corrupted the .jar client for the server,

    and it took a little while probably because no one else had attempted to connect to it?

    Yeah, the playerdata folders should be the second option.

    Whenever I import worlds on a server, I usually run them in single-player first,

    and update the map to whatever the server supports.

    Alright sir, the only way, and best way I find my IP is by not using a website.
    But instead, using my command prompt.

    I assume you're running windows.

    Find the Command Prompt executable file,
    and by now, you should feel like a professional hacker.

    But wait, there's more!

    All you do is type, "ipconfig"

    And it will display all your IP's.

    Look at the line with, "IPV4 Address"
    and across the way should be your IP.
    Now if that doesn't work on it's own, try adding a server port.

    Usually, people's server ports is, "25565"

    Which should make the IP to connect to your server, "xxx.xxx.x.xx:25565"

    I hope this assists you somewhat.

    I think we've all forgot that Mojang isn't our "cool friend from college"
    It's still a monopolizing company
    that simply can't make the best profit from selling accounts
    and trendy little T-Shirts and dolls that usually only 12 year-olds buy.

    They got involved with Microsoft and Sony.
    I'm surprised that this all hasn't started sooner.
