I am a person who usually doesn't like big changes, however, in my opinion, the combat system introduced in 1.9 is not bad at all. Of course, it can be a bit hard at the beginning until you get used to it (I had lots of creeper holes in my survival world at the beginning xD), but once you get the hang of it it's not that bad. It makes Minecraft more challenging.
However, I liked the old system too, specially for PvP. But there are always plugins and mods that servers and players can use, so we can have the best of both worlds.

Full support. I love villages, but they can be much better with all this ideas.

I love faithful and i use the 32x version, I will surelly download this + some of the addons!
EDIT: I love this texture pack! I love the sky addon! I will use it forever!
