Actually the site of the biggest mass murder in history is the Ukraine, where Stalin's forced famine killed 10 million (see Russia's War, Blood Upon the Snow) farmers who resisted collectivization during the second five year plan. But there is no video of this, and that is why you are now wondering if it is true.
Thanks - so when it says copy "additional tweak mods" into the "versioned mods folder," does this mean the mods I download shuold be installed into a special mods folder within the Mods folder? and does "additional tweak mods" mean any compatible mod?
So I figure I can down load a cool mod and enhance my game, right? To begin with, I want World Edit! I find that I can download a mod called worldeditwrapper that will give me all the in-game commands for world edit. OK lets get it! So I search out the mod download and find I gotta have Liteloader first. Who knows why? Just do it. So I download liteloader and "extract to" minecraft. No problem right? Then the idiot proof instructions say to download the worldeditwrapper and copy it to my mods folder. But be careful! Change that .zip to .litemod or liteloader will not find it! At that warning, I decide to download worldeditwrapper into a separate folder of its own until I make sure it is ok. When I do this, and see: "mod_worldeditwrapper_1.2.0_we5.6.2_m..." I am wondering where the ".zip" is that I need to change to ".litemod." No luck, so I open, unzip, and copy the unzipped folder and its contents into my minecraft Mods folder.
Now I start my game, I see a new red progress bar at the bottom of the launch window, which is obviously liteloader, and thats a good sign. I am able to choose liteloader profile. But when I start a game and type "//wand" I see no wooden axe appear in my hand. I type /help and get only the default commands list - no signs of world edit.
I close the game, look into my mods folder and the worldeditwrapper is there....
This is the story of all the lives of all the mods I ever try downloading. It always seems so simple when pitched, but not so simple actually to install and run.
On the trouble shooting page at liteloader, it asks if the mod "show[s] up in the LiteLoader[/i] mods list (click the little tab in the upper right corner of the main menu). If the mod doesn't show up, chances are it's not installed properly"
Liteloader mods list? tab in upper right corner of main menu? I installed liteloader, but I have no main GUI for that app. There is no shortcut to run the program and give me a window with menus and all... there is only the clickabloe link in the directory where I installed it, and clicking on that opens no menu, only a prompt to install liteloader.
Is there anyone out there on a ship who can toss me a line? Or at least scream down to me a couple of tips on how to swim in this sea
Can anyone tell how one can use stat leaveGame to have one welcome message for new players and a welcome back for returning ones?
Also it seems one could have a command block on the same circuit that welcomes new players, that will teleport the new guy to the exact spot I want him.
I downloaded this map some months ago and have spent many many hours flying through the urban and suburban landscape, studying the architecture, marveling at the inexhaustible imagination.
I uploaded it as World #2 on my Realms, and I hope this is okay. It will make a great survival map. Every block in the game is there in the city, thus everything needed for survival is there. I even found the curiously hidden stashes of armor under one of the many fountains :-)
As I have gained experience playing Survival, I have refined and distilled my house building, retaining the essential, discarding the nonessential.
I speak purely of function and efficiency, NOT of ornamentation or architectural beauty (though a perfectly efficient house IS beautiful).
I know there are many players on this forum who are smarter and more clever than I am, and I am hoping they will agree with my general approach and add something to it, correct me where I'm wrong, and give some deeper insight.
Ideally, I will build my house centered on a mob spawner, so as to allow continuous accumulation of mobs in my grinder as I go about my household business. Spawner notwithstanding, I try to have animals, veggie farm, furnaces, and all automated Redstone devices arranged in such a way that allows me to conduct all of my crafting, feeding of animals, farming, enchanting, etc. within 16 blocks of all of them. So while I am gathering wheat, my furnaces are smelting; while I am enchanting books, my animals and wheat are all growing. Perfect Minecraft synergy!
I wonder if one could get away with selling beacons.. After all, they are on the "decorative blocks" tab in the creative menu. True, they may be used to change gameplay, but they ARE categorically decorative and may well be at least in a gray area...
My idea exploits both of Mojang's highly visible exceptions: sale of cosmetic items and paying to join a server.
I will run one public server in which I will sell $10 decor packages of custom skulls (globes and microwaves and Rubik's Cubes, etc., all available at PlanetMinecraft) and 1 Whitelisted server which can be joined for $10.
I will have 1 website for both servers, where all donation info and link are available, and I will run a website/donation tellraw message on the public server.
Not exactly a get rich quick scheme, but sufficient, I believe, to pay server costs.
Epic, are you referring to the fact thap new arrivals will spawn at random points within the spawn protect zone, but not exactly at the setworldspawn point?

I am merely exploring ways of making a little money with what little latitude we have been given.
a second tier level of donation say $25, could get you two juke boxes, all the music discs, 12 name tags, 25 paintings, and 2 posed armor stands.
