Get off of your pedestal. You're not the only one to ever think of it, and I'm sure he's been planning the addition of it for a while. I would bet money that he had at least a rough concept of it when he thought of Minecraft, but never got around to implementing it.

No, this isn't another Herobrine thread. I just realized that if there are zombies and skeletons, wouldn't that mean that there had to have been other humans that turned into them? Obviously there aren't other humans in Minecraft, but possibly your character is living in a post-apocalyptic world or just a world where the human race died and he's the last person on Earth (If it even is Earth)? Perhaps I'm overthinking a video-game, but I just had that thought earlier.
In a never-ending hell-on-earth world with two dimensions of terror, where you're on your own trying to survive against green, exploding nightmares who hunt you down with the help of the undead and immortal. Night seems to last forever, and after the sun rises again you have little time to re-defend yourself for the next impending doom.
