Yeah I'm a busy guy but I'm sure i could manage to check in once a week to drop the new build. Or whoever is tasked with dropping it. Anyways I just don't really find any appeal in writing full out challenges anymore, it's too tedious and the rules are a little restrictive imo.
Yeah but the idea behind having a weekly thing is it doesn't require effort so it actually has a chance of getting done. I'm honestly super busy and I'm telling you now there's no way I'd get an actual full challenge done
Yeah it probably would become a new entity, I'd link it to this challenge of course but I doubt this one is going to be revived. Its enormous and pretty much everyone on MCF has probably seen it so it might be best to start a new thread. And yeah I know all of us running it are busy, that's why i chose a weekly build because it takes next to no effort for the team to run so it's probably our best shot at getting something going. I'm gonna create a throwaway account to start it on so that way if one person gets tired of updating they can pass it on to someone else.
The build list will definitely become challenging for newcomers, but all they have to do is start where they come in. They can still pick and choose whatever they want to build and it's really only inspiration. I think it might do really well. Tell me what y'all think.
Not necessarily multiplayer, but more in a sense of the community as a whole, everyone who's following it could do what they wish with it. It would be pretty fun I'd think but who knows right?
Hey all, just popping in, happy new years to you all!
I've noticed a lot of people struggle with completing full challenges due to just not having the time to do it. I came up with a pretty interesting idea that would make for a more laid back challenge if anyone is interested. Basically we just have a weekly build that everyone adds into their city. So for example it could be
Week 1: Lumbermill
Week 2: A defense system
This could be very open to interpretation to what people could build and also very flexible timewise. For week two one person could build a couple towers around their town, while someone else might build an enormous keep. The people who play 3-4 hours a day could build a magnificent lumbermill while someone who has a busy week could just build a home for a lumberjack. It'd be quite interesting the diversity we'd see. And after you've finished your weekly build you could expand your town by adding parks, homes, and other buildings to your hearts desire.
Every week we keep a running list of all the builds before it and when people post pictures of their builds they can be added to an example imgur album for new players interested in some inspiration. Anyways just an idea, thought it might be cool and inspire a little more creativity. Plus people could use whatever mods they wanted because its just a build that you can add to your city.
Just getting into Minecraft again and I was curious where the speed-running community was at. I've seen a few different speed runs but I haven't seen a large group running the same thing. If anyone knows anything about where the Minecraft speed-running scene fill me in!
A telegram from down here in South Carolina. Vacation is great I know how much you all care (sarcasm)
I hope everyone is having fun the forums look pretty lively which is nice to see. If you need any help with those banners still when I get back I'm sure I could duct tape a building or two together for ya.
And don't worry about that guide idea that's kindts actually quite unpleasant the thought of trying to make another type of challenge, way to much effort and thought for the summer. I think one is good enough
Anyways have fun everyone and go build some beautiful ****

Reread one of my previous posts I already addressed making a throwaway account. Because we all know eventually one of us is going to go idle.
Any naysayers 'gainst the weekly build?

I might not have seen you since november but I haven't seen Ghost since like 2014 lol

Haha, of course it's not going to be 100% realistic but that's ok
