Yea that's to be expected, for some reason Minecraft 1.5.2 just straight up won't run in the modern launchers, in order to get the modded Btw jar to run you need to prevent the launcher from updating to 1.5.2 every time you try and launch it.
option 1: disable your internet connection.
option 2: figure out what to delete from the 1.5.2-BTW.json file that accompanies the MC jar, I do have what I should look like however it on my home PC and I am on holiday at the beach.

Currently forge does not allow entities to be registered, due to changes in 1.11 so until that happens i can't really do waterwheels or any of the other power sources, however i will look at making some kind of temporary solution now.
Edit: Have added a powered axle which can be accessed thru the creative inventory however it lacks texturing and won't be functional beyond a power scource until the next forge update
Edit2: also ended up updating the port tool as a bug in my code was causing it to crash when attempting to preform an update.
If you download a fresh copy of the port tool you should be met with this screen when you attempt to run it

ABOUT:
I have long been a fan of the Better Than Wolves mod and although i enjoy it i can't help wishing it was available on the more modern version of Minecraft (such as 1.11), so i have created a tool that updates it, with a few additions
WARNINGS:
All the the files needed to make this port work are stored remotely on MediaFire and will be downloaded when you launch the tool, it will not function without network access.
CHANGE LOG:

Yea it turned out to be a problem with my Java version, sorry to bother you. Also I can't say this enough great mod, I have been a fan since you first started it, way back in mc... 1.2.5 or something like that.

no there is no config for blocks that can be used as sails aswell, you need to write a mod for it, if you want i can point you in the right dirrection as i have already done one in the past.

Lol actually I did kinda make a submarine with ships mod problem was it was so slow and had turn ability of Zero so it like vanilla could only go in one direction.

Would you mind if i did an update/port to 1.8 then 1.9 ?
Reason I want to do it:
The logistics, I am still rather new to java so i will probably be writing the mod from scratch however if i could get src code access that would be great.
Why 1.8 cause i simply don't like 1.7 and 1.8 is easier to mod cause it has the block model capabilities.
