posted a message on [Req] Industrialcraft2 based modpack.
Greetings to whomever may be reading this
I was looking around for a techy/industrial mod pack, but all of the ones I found were missing two mods I found crucial: Greg tech and GraviSuite. The only mod pack I know of that has these two together is the old Mind-crack FTB pack, but that's very old. So if someone knows of a mod pack with these two mods, or if someone would even be willing to make a mod pack (really doubt anyone's going to, but someone might) with these two mods, that would make me quite happy.
If anyone knows/is willing to make a mod pack for me, I would like a couple other mods to go with it:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Advanced solar panels (IC2 Addon)
    Advanced Machines (IC2 Addon)
    Archimedes Ships
    Backpack
    BiblioCraft
    Biomes o' Plenty
    Carpenter's Blocks
    Damage Indicators
    Enchanced Portals 2
    Flans Weapons Mod
    Industrial Craft 2
    Inventory Tweaks
    Iron Chests
    Morph (along with IchunUtility)
    Mrcrayfish's Furniture mod
    Natura
Not Enough Items (along with core chicken code)
    Nuclear Control (IC2 addon)
    Open Blocks
    Portal Gun
    Project Red
    Secret Rooms
    Tinkers Construct
    Thaumcraft/Ars Magica
Thaumcraft Addons (Thaumcraft Extras, Thaumcraft Mob Aspects, Thaumic Exploration, Thaumic Tinkerer)
    Twilight Forest
    Zan's Minimap/Mapwriter.

All the above mods are just wishful writing. heck, this whole post is probably just wishful writing. But if someone knows a modpack with as many of these mods as possible, or if some far too generous stranger is actually willing to make a modpack with some of these mods, I would be happy beyond belief.
    Thanks for reading

hm...thats strange...the problems you have reported refer most to an intel graphic card...did you choose an Nvidia driver below version 327?

Do you have a secon grahpic card like an Intel 4000?

I do, but minecraft is usually running on the dedicated GPU, not the integrated one.

posted a message on Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders [compatible with Minecraft 1.12.2 via OptiFine]
So uhhh.... I'm having some problems with this mod. I can install it fine, loads up normally, shaders option box pops up, and everything fine. Then when i select a shader my screen just turn... white. Im not having any problems with performance, i get around 140fps on regular vanilla (render distance 14 chunks) and around 60fps with the shaders activated, even if its all just a white screen.

I tried messing with video settings, everything turned down, everything turned up, nothing. (and if this changes anything, i dont have optifine).
    My Specs are
    Intel I7 3630 2.4GhZ
    16GB of DDR3 1600MhZ RAM
Nvidia Gt 650M with 1GB of DDR5 VRAM
    500GB western digital storage
Thank you very much for any help, and if this has already been posted a thousand time i apologize.
I have minecraft 1.7.2 and i've tried this with the Standard 10.0 shader and the ultra DOF version.
    EDIT:
Just tried it with Lite version. It works fine but everything is Extremely bright, even with regular brightness on moody.

Anyways, what do you guys think about Vechs's Mindcrack LP?

I kinda like it, kinda don't. Sometimes i find it enjoyable, other times it gets really annoying. He also should really turn smooth lighting on, it looks really bad without it.

what about it. is it just becuse it is a "Resource" pack (trollolol) or is it because of the light of the night vision potion you don't like? I really wish screenshots in MC came out better but they never do.

Normally i like Dokucraft but here its just horrible. The night vision makes it even worse.

    *Sigh* Noobs....

How often have you actually been able to GET a "God Apple"? If I wanted Regen, Fire Res, and Strength, I'd GET Regen, Fire Res, and Strength. No point in wasting gold to get something you can get in larger quantities easier. And besides, 8 Gold Blocks is WAY too much for what you're getting.

Now, an Enchanting Table, potions, and armor.... Yea.

How bout wood? Good luck doing anything without that.

I still stand by my argument that creepers are really easy, though.

They're easy if you know how to handle them. A lot of new players have some trouble with them because they don't know how to knock them back with sprint and how to block. Once you learn the strategies for fighting them they are quite easy.

But whats the fun of grinding for stuff to do the grinding for you.

That the grinder stuff you grinded for now can grind even more stuff. And then you can make more grinders to grind even more stuff while another grinder is grinding other stuff. Grindy.

Also, FTB isn't really that much about fighting mobs. It has that aspect, true, but its more oriented towards technology and automation grinding, not combat.

There is a lot of grinding at the beginning, but it gradually becomes easier to do stuff as you go on as you can get machines to do the work for you.

Oh, Vechs will return. For about 2.4 seconds and then go off to pet kittens or something.

He showed evidence CC2 was under development in a IM Dev. Com. Episode, so I think he'll be working on more maps.

Vaks on Mindcrack? You mean FTB? Not real Mindcrack? Personally, I hate FTB. I like a lot of the new stuff that's added, and the Twilight Forest mod is just.... awesome, but what's the point of having enemies if you can get armor (Yes I know it's extremely late-game shut up I'm talking) that makes you invincible to everything but void? And the quarries seem boring to me. Why play Minecraft if you don't want to go down?

Anyways, all things aside, I'm personally just hoping he makes CC2 Rom-Hack Cubed. Wouldn't that be a change of pace? :D

No, hes actually joining Vanilla because he finds the FTB server to be a bit "dead" at the moment. (He left some signs at the mindcrack server spawn saying that).

    4. I can thank Vechs for making it, all of us on the thread can thank Vechs for making it. Sadly there is almost no chance he'll see the thanks (on the MCF atleast).

I actually think he does still read them. A few pages back when we were discussing about traps i said that the silverfeesh ladder surprise before kamyu was i trap (which it isn't, i was wrong). In the kamyu Dev Com he mentions that that was just a cool way to get the player into the next area, and not a trap as some people were calling it. This could have been because some LPers thought it was a trap, but i think that he does still read the forums.

On another subject, Vechs has joined the Mindcrack Vanilla server it seems. He left some signs at the spawn village, mentioning how he would be doing a big project somewhere on the server. Here's the video i saw the signs in if anyone's interested: (if you just want to skip to the signs, he starts reading them at 13:50)

Twilight Forest and Biomes O' Plenty both add new blocks and mobs, not just in their respective biomes/dimensions. Seriously, try googling something before you post about it.

true, but those mods are concentrated mostly on the new dimensions and biomes, not the tools. If you want new tools and weapons there are plenty other mods for that. Also, for biomes o plenty there are some new tools, but you need items you find in new biomes to make them, and no new biomes generate will generate in a superflat world, so that mod is basically useless. It doesnt have new mobs either (at least to my knowledge). As for the Twilight forest you are right though, it does have much more stuff that can be used in a CTM map.
