    Does it work with millenaire?

Yes, I've yet to find a mod that doesn't work with Magic Chest. [Though I changed the block ID of chest cos I know it conflicts with a few other mods]

anything that edits explosions or minecarts will cause conflict. idk how minecarts was edited but the explosion was my doing, it just bypasses the getExplosionResistance call altogether and calclates it based on wether the tileentity has resistance software or not.

Hrm, I'm pretty sure that IndustrialCraft alters explosions (or at least makes them bigger / smaller). I'll have to see what happens when I try to nuke and/or use iTNT / TNT on some Reinforced Stone to see what happens. Though I doubt it'll behave differently.

what's the point of the mod?

Point? Jk, um, well it makes villages, which is rather cool. You get to see the villages grow and thrive as you supply them with materials (or alternative you could laugh as you burn them to the ground).
The reason I got the mod was the villagers will sell you wood (so I wouldn't have to spend all my time cutting down trees. and I have an abundance of cobblestone). But it does a whole lot more then that and I've been quite impressed with it so far.

You can even add custom building plans so the villagers could build you a mansion.

Would it be possible to have some way to decide where a building will be built?
Something like the sign that says where a building will be built, but you can choose where it will be.
It would build around that sign you just placed, regardless if there is room or if its too close to other buildings.
Some special sign that appears on the town hall or something you type on the sign that triggers the building process.

Or a item that "respawn" the village?
When you use it on the main box of the village it works like your spawning a new village.
First all the old npcs are removed, then it checks for existing houses, maybe using the special box each house has, then it spawns new npcs to be on those houses.
This way if you dont want some building to be where it is you can destroy that house box and respawn the village.

Maybe im asking too much. Its already an awesome mod, just throwing idead to make it better.

I definitely like the idea of placing signs where you want them to build the buildings. [Then again I'm still waiting for them to build my custom building with 1 billion priority... they wanted to do the fort 5 upgrade first]
I'm not sure if I'd want to have it get around the "not enough space" or too close to other buildings though.

I have a problem, whenever I try to create a new world the game crashes. Any reason why?

I'll go out on a limb and try to take a guess... I'll assume you have spawn villages set to true, and that there's a problem with one of your village files. Since it only happens when starting a new world? If that's the case you can try deleting your .minecraft/millenaire folder and replacing it with the one from the millenaire download zip file. [Backing up any custom building plans you have first would be recommended]

Or you can run Minecraft from the command prompt to get the actual error message (though it may already be shown in your modloader.txt)

ok, it says it uses 1.6.4 though

Millenaire 0.6.4 was for minecraft 1.6.4 I believe, but since then it's been updated to 1.6.6 (like the version 0.7.4 that you're trying to run) not to mention 1.6.4 minecraft was really buggy (which is why there were so many updates in a week.)

ive done the repair software and slemting station...its epic...I can smelt 3 whole stacks in a minute and repair my stuff at 72dmg/s :3

Awesome, now.... make furnace software compatible with IndustrialCraft machines! :tongue.gif: I'll have to look and see if the guy who was going to make it so Allocators would feed IC machines properly got it working, cos he'll probably let y'all borrow the code. [Hell for all I know, it could have already been implemented into Allocators themselves... ]

and this is compatible with other stuff like for example, Pff mods, IC, and BC?

Yes, I've yet to run into a mod that Magic Chest wasn't compatible with. You only have to worry about ID conflicts (Magic Chest's default ID is 255 which is used by a few other mods, so I recommend changing it; is configurable).

That I could change easily enough, I just felt that the number of lines would become too important. Anyone else has an opinion on this?

Yeah .. um, if it added more lines that would probably be bad (I like the option to turn off one of the languages for their sentences, that way their "activity" could fill that slot).

I know I was having a hard time trying to see if there were duplicate NPCs when they all started talking.

Any feedback on the amulets? I don't think I ever got some proper feedback on those, whether they are balanced/too weak/too powerful.

Also, how are you guys feeling about the new way villagers' sentences are displayed? I find it looks better, but longer sentences can be a bit difficult to read.

Apparently I'm a noob and don't know how to get the amulets, or they come from foreign merchants and my town hasn't built a market yet. But once I try them, I'll let you know how I like them.

As far as the sentences, I almost suggested nameplates so you read my mind on that one. My one complaint on the sentences is that it no longer tells you what they're doing when they say something (and they stay up for some time). Would be nice if they lasted a little less long or still showed what the NPC is doing when they're talking.

Download seems to either be broken or not work on Chrome.

mediafire was down earlier, should be working now.
[Unless Chrome has a problem with adfly.. I don't use Chrome]

Great job with the mod! I haven't found much of any glitches or bugs. However, I am wondering about this.
Did someone get really excited? Or is this a bug? I found them all in one home pushing and shoving against each other.
    Thanks for everything.

According to what they're saying, they're in a church not a home... that place really needs some seats so it's not one big orgy :tongue.gif:
First time I saw NPCs in church I thought they were stuck and didn't know how to use the doorway :smile.gif:

I have encountered a bug with the Quantum Software. One day I was playing and I put things in to the chest with Quantum Software. The next day, everything was gone. I tried going through all of the Quantum Software things (Evil, Chicken, Trapdoor, Breaking, Creaper), but I still could not find any. Please Help! (Note: I am talking about real days, not Minecraft days)

Did you do something crazy like, reinstall minecraft by deleting the entire .minecraft folder?
Also, if you placed the items in the chest, then placed the quantum software, the items won't actually make it to the quantum channel (they'll still be in the chest you put the software in).

If neither applies, I don't know how to help you. Quantum chest data is stored in .minecraft\mods\Magic Chest\ folder. You could check <world_name>_quantumSave_<0-4>.dat files [by opening them with notepad/wordpad] to see if they're blank. [I'm assuming everything is missing from your quantum channels?]

hmm...I wonder, can you still stack diff. versions of the same software or has Aero fixed that? :tongue.gif:

As far as I can tell, you can't. I know it didn't work with my vortex software (which is how I figured out one had a bad damage value). Didn't test with repair software though (considering I upgraded from repair to repair v2).

Though I'm wondering what would happen if I used multiple repair softwares with a quantum chest :wink.gif:. You can pull off some pretty insane things with just Magic Chest :smile.gif:.

    Like my auto-smelting "station"
    :: :Furnace:
    :chestfront: :chestfront: :Furnace:
    :: :Furnace:

Left chest is a quantum channel, right chest is furnace software. Anything placed in said quantum channel (from any quantum chest) will be auto-smelted [assuming you follow the sorting rules of furnace software] :smile.gif:

Though I did lose some sand once, when I dropped 3 sand in the top row (middle row full [or nearly full] of charcoal) then either dropped in a stack of cobblestone or logs to the top row, 24 were instantly taken and I got confused, 1 smelted glass came back but the other 2 sand went mysteriously missing...

Only problem with this setup is it's not a lot of room for smelting (since only 1 row of output).

Now if the repair software could work with Industrial Craft machines....
