Obsidian is very useful for making walls that cannot be destroyed by TNT, lava, fire, or anything besides mining it, which takes forever. And tools and armor have been suggested numerous times. This is how the thread will go:

    Initial Suggestion *Complete*
    Obvious Counterpoint *Complete*
    Restatement of Obvious Counterpoint *Complete*
    Attempt to Support Idea *Complete*

    A. Thread gets locked or deleted by a Mod, warnings are issued.

    OR

    B.1. Thread fades into memory.
    B.2. Troll necrobumps thread.

New thread on same topic is made.

Get out. This thread doesn't need this sort of obnoxious lampshades.

As you can see, I'm aware that there are stupid wankers on both sides. Kira's not wrong; A lot of those aspects wouldn't work in Minecraft. But Kira's are limited opinions based on limited ideas of what constitutes various posted versions of the concepts, not a comprehensive guide on every possible implementation of everything on the list.

OK obsidian has ONLY ONE USE a nether portal I find that slightly annoying, SO what I am proposing is that obsidian should be the strongest substance seeing that it TAKES FOREVER to mine even w/ diamond (only in Minecraft mind you). you should be able to smelt it in the furnace w/ lava (only with lava cause nothing els is hot enough)and you get a obsidian bar and you turn that into tools and armor, all obsidian tools and armor is stronger and lasts longer than diamond. I thick this is a fair idea because obsidian is the hardest substance to mine, you have to find diamond first, and you have to get enough obsidian to make a set of armor of a set of tools SSSSSOOOOOooooo YA that is another Idea.
    NO HATERS

Two words destroy the balance of this idea:
    Obsidian Farming.

I like how you're completely unbiased when you differentiate pro-RPG and pro-KIRA(Is there some kind of fetish I'm unaware of?) supporters.

Where the RPG supporters are intelligent, and anyone with a differing opinion cannot have their own opinion, but instead sacrifices animals to their goddess, Kira.

That is insulting and my opinion of you has diminished because of this.

Did you even read the post? Yes, there are morons who make suggestions that would destroy the sandbox mode. The problem is, NOT all RPG suggestions that are "technically" covered by Kira's opinions WOULD destroy sandbox, despite Kira's supporters acting as if they would.

THAT is what I was commenting on.

    So, none then? Got it.

That's what sane people should say, yeah. But that's not what the gaming community as a whole thinks about the list.

Anyway, I find the general flow of the conversation to be:

Stupid Pro-RPG nutjob: "LOLOLOLOL levels and equipment tiers and summons and FINAL BOSS!!!"
Kira: "That obviously won't work in sandbox because it creates limitations."
Intelligent Pro-RPG supporter: "But if you do it THIS way, it fits within the general curve of the tech level, dosen't unbalance anything, and rewards players for dedication to the game, all of which generally speaking are GOOD things for a game people are already going to play for a trillion hours of their lives anyway."
Kira Supporter: "Nope, those won't work either because Kira has some generalized opinion"
Intelligent Pro-RPG supporter: "But... Kira didn't cover anything LIKE this."
    Kira Supporter: "Shut up, noob."

    It's ridiculous.

    That's ****ing retarded.

That's more or less my reaction to this entire thread, so my post seems to have made it's point.

Amnesiacraft alone catapults the game into Nintendo hard mode.

Minecraft? Difficult? Why would it be difficult?

Maybe you want it so that when you break wood blocks, you catch on fire. And when you so much as LOOK at coal, you drown. How's THAT for hard?

    List?

And if you read, I support RPG elements...Just not in the current vanilla game.

I posted them in the original thread; I figure you can find them yourself, right? They're the same basic ones that get Monster Hunter labeled an RPG for no discernible reason.

On the other hand, you can't beat Lavos on your first encounter (Ocean Palace) in Chrono trigger without some serious level grinding (or very heavy glitch abuse that isn't really possible without Tool assistance).

Find me one JRPG suggestion. JUST ONE. ANY SINGLE ONE OF THEM will do.

You can't compare a JRPG like Chrono Trigger to a western RPG, of which Minecraft already has the backbone for.

Anyway, what makes Kira and PyroNox a better judge of what works in a sandbox game than myself? Post count? Minecraft ALREADY has RPG elements in it. A few more will NOT ruin the game.

I'm not saying sandbox survival should have a storyline or a final boss, not that that would actually ruin the game any more than having normal enemies.

I'm not saying ALL RPG elements would fit Minecraft, but that's because Minecraft isn't an RPG; But some of them would definitely fit Minecraft, because it's already got other, complementary RPG elements.

Troll or Real... He stills needs a fuzzy room and straight jacket from the things he thinks up.

Cutting up a dog because you wanted to see how its guts worked... What little kid goes up to mom and says 'Mom, I wanted to see how the puppy's intestinal organs worked so I cut it open and now its dead. CAN I HAZ A NEW PUPPEH?!!?!'

Brb, I'm gonna go hug all 7 of my cats,my Beagle, and my Chihuahua to be grateful they didn't fall into the hands of this guy.

Actually, I lied about that one. I have no idea who OP is. I was trying to convince him of it himself, see how far-gone he is.

Anyway, if he's really as batshit as he says he is, we're definitely not who he should be talking to.

No. If god and all the people on the Earth hate you, the only solution is to kill YOURSELF.

Plus, you were cheating on your girlfriend, you were sexually abused by your father as a child, and you had a dog, once. You killed it because you wanted to see how it's insides worked.
