Notch could just make Enderman optional.

He could, but that would mean taking away a mob, which would take away content. Having an option to disable an NPC's ability to alter the world would be even better.

Of course mods could always fix this problem, but I play strictly vanilla both SSP and SMP.

Clearly minecrafts fanbase will never be pleased.

    WAIIIIIITT!!!!!

    Why is this continuing?

Is playing on Creative/Peaceful not an option?

I mean it's really bad that this should even be discussed.

If you want to build... please creative/peaceful

If you want to do anything with an added challenge, play survival...

I mean, what's the counter to that?

Why should I restrict myself to one category or the other when my current play style in 1.7.3 works perfectly well.

Saying you should choose one or the other is like implying you should restrict content such as fighting, or restrict building.

Taking away content is meaningless, but as I said before would couldn't possibly comprehend this. You try running a survival server, people want to be creative, people grow attached to their creations. You are just ignorant.

For those of you scared of the added challenge this feature will encompass... don't worry guys... the casual police are going to take notice to this and flock to Notch to have it changed.

They will make sure your game is only difficult to 5 year olds with the intelligence and problem solving ability of a snail.

Honestly it should be employed as an option.

Having to go back and fix redstone circuitry every day and having your structures slowly decay is not optimal in most circumstances.

I would like the challenge on a single player survival world with a bunch of structures I care little for, but not on my server with large immaculate buildings, redstone contraptions, minecart systems, etc.

Destroying hundreds of hours of work is not viable. Of course, I doubt you have built anything of significance, so I can understand why you are so ignorant.

Looks like they cant pick up blocks that have something placed on it tho (like torches,redstone,etc)....

I've had one destroy a minecart track by removing a block underneath it. However it might have been the result of some technicality. Either way though, it was destroyed.

Interestingly enough the Enderman actually got in the minecart afterwards.

Endermen pickup and move any block they want, player-made or otherwise.

Moreover, mineshafts appear to be spawning at ridiculous rates. They seems to spawn for frequently the further you are from your spawn point. To the point where everything underground is just one giant endless mineshaft.

Honestly, Notch should be working on the Nether before introducing any more realms. The Nether needs to be seriously expanded to be practical. As it stands there is very little reason to even enter the Nether.

This works wonderfully. Much more convenient than building the models by hand, even if it does take away some of the impressiveness.

I used this to create the opening a a dungeon which I plan on making. There will be plenty of skeleton spawners. :Skeleton:

The size reduction command works nicely, but I plan on making a large scale skull someday.
