Alright, so don't allocate more ram, 'cause that can't be it.
File a bug report, and try the old launcher again.
Check HWmonitor and GPU-z, or something of the like while it runs, see if anything is maxing out for some reason. (I know I had a problem with my 1080 where it wouldn't go past around 600mhz on one driver version)
Did any drivers update around the same time you got the new launcher? Or was that the only thing that changed.
From what i remember, a new update for NVIDIA released atleast 2 days after the new launcher.
I have allocated more ram, more than four to be exact, However FPS drops still occur.
Nothing is maxing out when i run Minecraft, and i checked out my RAM usage and Minecraft was using it to its full extent. I really don't know what could be causing this problem. I guess i could try the old launcher again, however i don't know how to get that back. Is there a download link in the launcher?
Hey guys, Ever since the new Minecraft launcher has been released I've noticed significant FPS drops that happen very frequently.
For example, i join a huge mini game server like Hypixel, the game would go down to 30-40 FPS and would not rise above 60 until i modified the render distance. I also have more random lag spikes, and the game just does not feel very smooth anymore.
Another thing, Shadersmod used to run perfectly, to the point where it would go way above 60 FPS. But now, it's around 80. Sometimes 50. I know it's still relatively good, But it's just weird that i would experience such an odd drop.
Here are my specs in case that helps:
Intel Core i7 6700k 4.00 GHz
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB of RAM
Java 64bit
64 Bit Windows 10 System
All drivers are up to date, same with the OS. These FPS drops started happening as soon as the new launcher rolled out. Anybody know any possible fixes?
Hello, Im adsum. I tryed to change my username, and since i havent migrated my acc, i now have to. So i did, i logged in with my email in the minecraft launcher, but when i login, i have the demo. I bought premium for minecraft and everything, and i was here since 1.2, so whats the problem? I dont want to lose my profile since i spent so much money on this server, and i was thinking maybe someone could assist me.
EDIT: It says i have to buy minecraft again, it also wont let me login on my old account either.
Im trying to set up donations, im 12 years old but my mother wont let me. Which means i have no way of getting players in my minecraft server, no intresting ranks, and i dont want my server to go down since my minecraft server is the only place i can really feel in control of my own server. nothing to keep my server up and running. I really need advice on how to make my mother understand this is legal. Please someone help?

Hello, i've been watching some videos on Minecraft classic, and i do want to get back and play it again, online.
Now, there are many threads about this, and some of them arent solved to this day, and im kind of ticked off that this screen wont load. Whenever i try to launch Singleplayer or try to join a Multiplayer server, it gives me the java icon with a glowing circle around it, that's good. My java warns me that this application is not very well known and risks are taken if i launch it. I check the box that says ''Take the Risk'' and click ''OK'', now, i see a switching applet screen, java comes up with another warning saying the same thing, check the box, click ''OK''. Minecraft Classic is now stuck at ''Switching applet'', it wont move, wont continue, it just completely froze. I have Java 7,Windows 8, 64 bit system, And my Java sercurity is set on Medium, to actully try and run Minecraft Classic. Now, do i need a older Java to run MC Classic? Like Java 6 or Java 5? Now, i know most of you are gonna say ''Use the new launcher to switch your version to alpha 0.30'' But alpha 0.30 on the launcher only boots me up in a Singleplayer world, not any way to access any menu to join a online server. Now, i know Minecraft Classic still works because i see atleast 91 people on one server. Please someone help me?

What i mean by Damage pointers is little arrows on your screen that point to the direction in which damage is coming from.
Something like this.
Does anything like this even exist?
