Art, it is okay if you do your builds in groups, but please be aware that only ONE person from the group build will be rewarded if the build is chosen as a winner, so just keep that in mind! You will have to decide out of the group who gets the prize, and just let us know so we will know who to give the award to.
It’s that time of year with Halloween just around the corner and a few of us felt it was time for a fun contest to fit the season! Kingphilip42, poly_ester and I are hosting this spooky fun contest!
Please be sure to read all of this before you start building. The theme of the contest is Fall/Halloween. Build a scene that represents either what you enjoy doing during the Fall, or something related to the Halloween holiday. Be creative, but stick to the topic! It can be anything from camping in the mountains, to pumpkin carving, to a haunted house. Make sure you don't just create random scenes (so be sure we know what it’s supposed to be)... Any entries not relating to the topic will be disqualified.
**NOTE: We realize the 1.4 update may happen sometime between now and the end of this build contest, and if that is the case and it hinders your building we will adjust the contest to allow for those of you to finish so that the contest remains fair to all those who choose to enter!

All entries must be no bigger than 100x100 blocks.
They must relate to the Fall/Halloween theme.
TRUSTED+ may enter (YES this includes Modmins!) – there will be 2 winners selected!
All scenes must be on the CREATIVE server only.
Post your entry on the creative forums. Be sure to include your in-game name, rank, a warp to your scene, and a description on why you chose your scene (be specific). If you can, ONE picture would be nice to post as well.
What's the prize?
We will be selecting 2 winners and each will receive one month of donator status! This means you can fly on creative, use VIP on survival, along with all the other perks of donating to our wonderful server! The winners and their builds will also be recognized on our website as our Community Creations for the week following the contest!
We will be keeping a list of the entered players in this post. All entries are due by midnight EST on 10/30/12. The winners will be announced on Halloween, Oct 31st. Remember this build is TRUSTED+.

I do think that maybe survival has become a little washed out for some people, but I not sure a new hardcore server is the best route to take, which is what Jerr present as one option. I feel like the post has too few options when there are so many routes a decision like this could take and it's not quite as clean cut as it was presented. I agree with Danger about donation worries. I think we could come up with other options with the help of the community, since I feel drag is right in saying we are a community based server.
I think another option we could explore could be map reset. Before you say it..I KNOW you all have TONS of stuff, and I know you spent COUNTLESS hours on it, BUT the same goes for me, but I would give it ALL up if it meant that we could make KS survival even more amazing...for BOTH regular players, as well as newcomers. This could include resetting mcMMo, or even disabling it because I feel that would provide a much more even playing field for all players, making it feel like we really have a little more struggle to survive. I think honestly this is my favorite option; who doesn't like a fresh start? Time to rethink that house of yours, have to really look for your materials again, really having to SURVIVE again, whereas now most of us are just floating along on survival. We've got armor that makes us practically indestructible, enchants are easy as pie because we pretty much ALL have several grinders at our disposal, unlimited items in our endless chests...the list goes on and on. We aren't really surviving anymore this way...new players struggle to gain ground in a community that has gotten so far up the charts, they never even stand a chance, so most don't stick around. It's too easy to get money as well.. afk at farms because with those double drops from herb you'll be rich quick, same with mining, the double drops from skills and enchants are just so easy to come by that we don't have to even work for our money anymore. Seriously, I don't think we have to set it to hardcore or anything, but something’s got to give. The way we play KS survival there is no actual surviving at all at the moment, and I think it really does take a lot of that fun away.
That is just my input. I don't feel really like the idea of a new server, but at the same time I DO agree survival needs some changes.

There is usually a place that says "Special Instructions" (or something along those lines) that you can see when you are reviewing your donation, and that is where you can include your IGN. At least that is where I normally put mine and my donations have always been processed quickly. Hope this helps for next time so you don't have to wait too long!
As far as we know, you will not be able to play on our server if you update to 1.3 before we are able to update. So if you would like to continue to play on KinstonCraft don't update just yet. We will be doing everything we can for this update to go as smoothly and as quickly as possible, but as Poly said it will depend on how quickly our plugins and such update. I'm gonna open a mega shop and call it Creeper-Mart, it's gonna be 100x100 blocks big so expect a lot! And it will be done in a few days.

SOOOO EXCITED!!! Glad to see that others are too! I am so honored to be Admin on what I know is going to be an amazing server. Just the Founders themselves are absolutely awesome!! Poly, Abra and Spud have put in SO much work to get things running smoothly and it has really paid off! Spawn and the arenas look amazing...everything just looks amazing!! I definitely suggest that if you're looking for a new server that is going to have some awesome, down-to-earth people this is definitely the right place for you

Demon, I have found a hiccup in the lottery plugin that needs to be fixed asap.
It seems that trusted players have permissions to force draw a lottery. This allows them to buy one ticket for main2 and force draw it immediately, granting them the 5000 keys and what not. It can be repeated an infinite amount of times. I tried it a couple of times myself and I can say that it can be easily exploited for personal gain. I will pay back to someone my unfair winnings if you wish. I am not sure if members have the node but it's surely a possibility. I didn't know if you wanted it that way, but I am thinking not.
Just letting you know so this plugin isn't exploited to crap.
EDIT: not so much of an exploit, but I believe players have permissions that they shouldn't be able to have
