hmm, I'll try it out now.

At least it's a 333kb download and not a 3.9g download like photoshop XD

    *EDIT*
Are there any tutorials for OpenCanvas?

This one is a pretty good place to start: http://pixieface.deviantart.com/art/Open-Canvas-Tutorial-part-1-50415876

Its alot of fun once you figure everything out. Simpler than you think, too ^.^

Heh, thanks I guess. I just want to get into digital arts, but all I have at the moment is Paint.. and no Tablet, Although I am downloading a trial of Photoshop, I'll see how quickly I can learn with that and try out my brothers tablet.

Although that may be a bit risky, I don't want anyone to walk in and see what I'm drawing haha.

You're off to a great start! ^.^ I still have trouble doing even the simplest of chibis. I'm trying to learn though, slowly. :smile.gif:

Also, if you want a great digital painting program that's free, try OpenCanvas http://wistinga.online.fr/opencanvas/

Its an easy way to get into simple digital art without having to play around with all the complex options in Photoshop.

    Anyone ever read/watch Animorphs?

I never did, I was wondering if it was any good...

I was pretty into it when I was much younger. Read the books, watched the shows, etc. It's not bad, considering there isn't anything much like it right now.

You've been to one? What goes on there? Is it just a lot of people talking furry and showing off their stuff?

Essentially, yeah. There's artists and dealers showing off a bunch of furry-related art and items, usually with a good amount of anime stuff mixed in. The panels can be pretty interesting to visit too, everything from learning to draw anthro art to fursuit showcasing contests.

My favourite reason for visiting them though is because its so easy to meet new people. Most are really friendly and considering how everyone is really into the same stuff, striking up a conversation and making new friends isn't hard at all, even for shy ones like me :happy.gif:

I recommend checking one out if you ever have the chance. Usually big anime conventions too will have a small furry panel as well. I was at Anime North in Toronto, Canada recently, and they had one there, as an example.

I have a set of foxy ears, tail, and paws that I wear to conventions. But even those can get warm. Can't imagine a fursuit.. >.<

A paw insignia would be pretty cool to identify other furs IRL. As with anything, if you drop enough subtle hints than other furs will tend to pick it up rather quickly. At any rate, asking flat out after seeing a few signs isn't a big deal. Chances are if people are showcasing a few 'signs' that they're furs, they'll be pretty happy to be asked. If by some chance they're not, then, well... can't really blame yourself for thinking they are.

Windmills would be pretty nice. Or perhaps something along the lines of the mechanisms and such from Dwarf Fortress. An implementation like that would be awesome.

posted a message on Lightning + Pig = Zombie Pigman? The hell?
    Perhaps it just takes imagination.

In the Nether, you see, the Zombie Pigmen are trapped forever. The Ghasts, keepers of the Nether, keep the Zombie Pigmen in check, making sure that they are damned forever to rot in the sulfuric fumes of the Nether's atmosphere. But perhaps one found a way out. Through rediscovering an ancient magic from a lost race many eons ago, they have created a way out through a ritual performed in the Nether in the deep, dark caves, away from the prying eyes of the Ghasts and too small for them to spawn in. They synchronize their magic runes through interfacing it with the runes of this ancient lost race that once existed in the 'real' Minecraft world, and every time they synchronize, a lightning storm in the real Minecraft world begins. By infusing their damned souls with this magic, they can then use the lightning to reincarnate their damned souls into their base form, a pig. Thus, when the lightning strikes a pig, it takes the lifeforce of the pig, aka the base form of the Pigman, allowing them to escape the Nether and be reborn as a Zombie Pigman in the real Minecraft world. Sure, they are still horribly scarred and disfigured, but they are at least alive once again, and mortal.

    Or something. :Ham:
