I'm just some guy that likes playing Minecraft and making maps - of course I reply to reviews! But ah, I like hearing that more stuff to mess with and more puzzles would be appreciated, because those are already planned for the next one. The mazes, I'll try to avoid those - unless they're fairly unique or not too tough, haha. And references/Easter eggs? You'll get those for sure!
Oh, and this is a little preview for my favorite part of the next map so far. I felt like I haven't posted enough screenshots of the next map to motivate myself to work more on it, haha. And you can consider it a reward for commenting and bringing feedback!
trust me i've already tried everything.
loaded it in 1.6.2 with mods = same thing
loaded in 1.6.2 no mods = same
loaded in 1.7.2 no mods = same
loaded 1.7.4 no mods = same
loaded in 1.5 no mods = same
there are a lot of regions that are corrupt. the chunks near ilex forest has insane lag. it brings me down to 1 fps because of ticking entities? the area near the new bark town spawn has regenrating chunks and several others places too
the map should lag less now. i can NOT get region fixer to work after trying and failing for 2 hours straight so i just copied the entire map and posted it onto a superflat generated map. the map will always generate superflat terrain now!
ALL CHUNKS STILL CORRUPTED AHHHHHHHHHRHRHRHRHHGHGHGH
does anyone know how to use region fixer? i already tried using mcedit to fix the regions, it didn't work. and moving the map over did not work because some chunks failed to load....
My game keeps crashing. I'm using the newest version of optifine and my game randomly gets 0 fps and then says not responding. I don't get any crash message.
True. I wanted to do command blocks. I had everything ready. I had the mp3's of all the noteblock music for cities and routes but when I tested it, I froze. Even with 20 seconds soundtracks.
Yes. But right now the wild battles are buggy and sometimes spawn too many zombies. So i took them away temporarily.
I plan to have trainer battles where if you get in front their field of view you get teleported somewhere to fight them. I'm afraid it's going to get redundant for some people.
Well, as long as you get something for fighting them, and the pokemon are not the same, the only way people will think its redundant, is if they thought the pokemon games were redundant.(Which to be honest is totally possible)
I might need to hire come command block expert to do it for me since I'm confused right now. I just want to build the map ;_;
I think the problem with redstone pulsers are that after a certain chunks it stops loading and the redstone messes up.
I always wanted to use /setblock commands for awesome stuff like removing all barricades that require cut when you receive HM cut.

I have no plans to make a sequel to this map, haha. The story leaves no place for it, so I'd rather not force a sequel out of thin air. That's how bad sequels happen. And I was never trying to rival any map, nor get glory! I was satisfied back when I had barely two or three playthroughs of the map during its first week, haha.
Besides, the sequel to Monarch of Madness will be more fitting and worthwhile, so expect that instead.
Yep, except, not at the moment. I took a short break because of College (which ended up being tougher than I had expected), but I'll try my best to work on it once in a while. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if I decided to get it all done for July 1st 2014, or July 1st of the year after that...
After all, both of my good maps came out on that date, so it'd be fitting to keep releasing maps on that very fateful day. Waiting that long would also give Minecraft time to update, and possibly release its final version! That would definitely make mapmaking a whole lot easier to manage.

I can't wait!

There has to be a way. I'll let you know if I find anything.

You may have to separate the map into parts

The pokemon battles look 1000 times better!
Also since you've done that, do you think you'll add trainer battles?
