I'm stuck in Room 10, "Sound"

Any help? I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how to solve this. The hint doesn't even help.

"Sound" uses the game's note block system where if you right-click the note block, it plays a note at a particular place in the range, but that's not what you're dealing with here. You're focusing on the fact that the note blocks play the same note as a different instrument when you place different kinds of blocks under it.
The idea here is that when you open the trap chest to get a book, it changes which block type is under your "tester" note block. (On your left) You use the tester to figure out which types of blocks are under each of the note blocks in the "Sound" sequence and use the cypher in the book to figure out the numbers assigned to the block types.
You use the order of the block types under the "Sound" sequence to determine the order of your decyphered code.

I used after effects. But it's very hard if you try it the first time, so good luck.

Oh sorry, I'm getting so many messages today, I don't know which one to respond to and which not.
Anyway, just watch a lot of sethbling videos, or try searching for 'chunk format' on minecraftwiki. Those are all the nbt tags you can assign to certain blocks. Google 'nbt edit mod' for an nbt edit mod, then you can adjust spawners and entities and chests etc.
Do a lot of research and soon the only limit will be your creativity (well and a lot of other limits, because minecraft is pretty limited if you think about it)

It's all good man. You've just started up an adventure map, you've entered the ninth circle of the Nether.
I've already found the Chunk Format page while looking into how to create custom output spawners (inspired by your map) and I already have NBTExplorer from when I was learning how to put my own head on a pike. (Don't ask. lol)
I'll have a look into the videos soon, they'll probably give me the start-up tricks.
(I'd love to see how you did the respawning anvil/TNT, the custom jump height potions (I managed to make some half-assed version of yours with TMI) and the item-filtering hoppers.)

It's because of the way adventure mode works right now. You can break all blocks that don't have a tool asigned to them. But I hate rules so i didn't tell you werent allowed to break stuff. Well you're the first one telling about it so I don't think it's a huge problem

First one telling about it, not the first one to do it.

And I'm still waiting for a response to this:

I'm also requesting the source of where the creator learnt how to make all this custom stuff. My brain hurts just looking at the redstone wiring, let alone all the command blocks.
Also, please explain how putting signs on the sides of the hoppers works, I'm quite curious to see if you can filter inputs.

10 or more? I don't know if you would include a skyblock server in your scoring, but it certainly meets up to your essentials.

    tmv.no-ip.org

Although you have the final decision, naturally, if I were to grade myself based on your standards, here's how I think it would be:

    Spawn area: +2
Nothing too fancy, but seconds to get wherever you want to go.

    Server Advertisement: +2
The website of donating to the server is announced in chat every 6 minutes and is hung up in the wall of the room that explains what donation perks there are. I picked a number in between because I can't say that it isn't advertised, but this is not near obnoxious.

    Staff: +2
Not many staff members yet, as I am extremely paranoid over anything that I wouldn't want happening. I am happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have.

    Moron Ratio: +1
Indeed, a whiny kid sometimes, but it is a very rare circumstance.

    Land Protection: +3
Protected by multiple plugins automatically, you do not need to worry. You can even lock your island if you don't even want people walking around it,

    Economic Values: +3
No inflation in my economy. Everything is priced relatively fairly.

    Trading: +1
There is a small spawn shop and many player shops in which competitive players try to have the top balance.

    Income: -3
I am against any sort of plugin like this because of the spam it leads to in the chat. All money earned will be from selling the resources you get from the nether/farming/investing/etc.

    McMMO: -1
This plugin is not on my server.

    PvP: +1
PvP is enabled in a small arena at spawn and in the nether. It is easily to avoid any fights.

    Arena Combat: -1
I prefer people make their own mob grinders if they are in need for mob drops. You won't find any freebies at my server.

Again, my server is skyblock, meaning that you start on an island with a small amount of resources and expand. You can work on your island with a team of up to 6 players. You may play casually or competitively. I hope you find what you looking for. Based on your system, I score a 10.

I'm pretty sure you didn't read the lists properly, because your descriptions don't seem to match the scores.
I'll come have a look and see for myself.

In future though, can ppl use the form? I made it so responses would be much easier for you guys to write and for me to read.

posted a message on Minecraft Server Refinement
I've been doing the server hunting thing like everyone else for quite a while now and it seems overly tiresome. So I've decided to create a refinement survey that can shortlist the hassle of finding a server out of the couple hundred getting around lately.

I found this necessary because of the long drawn-out process involved in deeming whether the server was right for me or not, by the time I had figured it wasn't, I had already been white-listed, set up land/item protections, made farmland, dug out mineshafts and pestered people with my questions trying to learn how to use mods I didn't know about.

In short, it was a waste of time for me, the staff and the other players, and a waste of the server's resources. So to reduce wastage, I've devised a simple scoring sheet (Don't worry, it's just reading which one describes your situation and writing in the number associated with it.), that will help determine how well-suited your server is likely to be for me.

The benefit? A player who is much more likely to stay to become a contributive and helpful member of your community. (More details can be found in my "
    About Me".)

So without further ado, let's begin.

    Essentials:
    Survival Mode
    Griefer Protections
    Item Protections
    Economy Mods
    Logical Rules

(The absence of any of the above immediately void my interest.)

    Optionals:
(Operated off a rating system that deems your server's suitability.)
    Spawn Area
    Simplified: +2

(The Spawn Area is of moderate size, easy to navigate, and help signs are spread out for efficient reading. There is minimal lag producing devices for quick loading and the spawn has an comfortable decor.)

    Cluttered: +1
(The Spawn Area is of moderate size and easy to navigate but the compactivity left the help signs a little cluttered. There is some lag producing devices for quick loading and the spawn has an comfortable decor.)

    Minimalism: -1
(The Spawn Area is tiny or difficult to navigate, with little to no help signs. There is some lag producing devices and the spawn lacks any decor.)

    Hell Spawn: -2
(The Spawn Area is a huge monstrosity designed to impress the new player but it takes so long to load they crash multiple times before they can see it. There's loads of lag and the decor is frighteningly weird. There is also usually mobs that have spawned in dark spots of the huge area.)

    Server Advertisement
    Silence: +3

(The server has NO obnoxious advertising for voting or donating in the chat or on signs; and the server is not Pay-to-Win.)

    Dismissible: +1
(The server has some advertising on signs around the spawn for voting or donating; with slightly overlarge rewards.)

    Irritant: -1
(The server has lots signs and regular chat advertising; with somewhat ridiculous rewards. eg. Full diamond armor, loads of money and more.)

    Fking Spam!: -5
(The server has more signs for advertising than anything else and the chat is frequently spammed with ads. Rewards consist of economy-breaking money/items and OP-commands.)

    Staff
    Subtle: +2

(Staff are so relaxed and friendly, they behave like regular players and are practically indestinguishable among others.)

    Helpful: +1
(Staff are curteous and respond quickly to help requests. They are obvious in stature, but don't lord it over others.)

    Oblivious: -1
(Staff are dispondant and respond slowly to help requests. They are obvious in stature, but don't really care about it.)

    Big Brother: -3
(Staff are suspicious and use invisibility to monitor players. They are very obvious in stature, and have no qualms about stepping on a noob or two. Noone asks for help for fear of being banned.)

    Moron Ratio
    Idiot-free: +2

(Griefers and trolls are rare, and are usually dealt with so quickly that noone knows they were there.)

    Minor Pests: +1
(A whiney child here and there, but are usually muted when people get sick of them.)

    Major Pests: -1
(Griefers, trolls, whingers, tree-strippers and opti-miners regularly appear, they do some damage before they're banned.)

    Infestation: -3
(The ban list is longer than the whitelist, and grows by the hour.)

    Land Protection
    Free Roaming: +3

(Allowing players to protect their land without having to stay close to one another.)

    Town Housing: +1
(Land Protections based on chunk size, but all chunks have to be connected.)

    Dead Factions: +1
(The death of a player does NOT impact on the player's land protections.)

    Live Factions: -1
(The death of a player DOES impact on the player's land protections.)

    Raid Factions: -3
(Factions are likely to raid and take over other factions through PvP and griefing.)

    Economic Values
    Prosperity: +3

(Items have balenced values and are consistent with all other items involved with the crafting process. Item values tie in cohesively with mods that use money.)

    Fluctuation: -1
(Items have unbalenced values and are not consistent with other items involved with the crafting process. Item values barely tie in with mods that use money. eg. Needing 15 diamonds to buy land for a house.)

    Minimalist: -3
(All items have almost no value. The economic range is usually 1-200 and item values are alienated from mods that use money. eg. 35-50 diamonds to buy land for a small house.)

    Trading
    Admin Trade: +3

(Malls set up at the spawn or close, where ALL items can be bought AND sold at a fixed price.)

    Player Trade: +1
(Player-run stores that allow a large selection of items to be bought AND sold.)

    Player Sales: -1
(Player-run stores that sells a minimal selection of items and doesn't buy anything.)

    Item Trade: -2
(No monetary system, meaning all trading is based off Peer-to-Peer item bartering.)

    Dead Trade: -3
(Trade is so rare, it is easily presumed to never happen.)

    Income
    Well Paid: +3

(Players are allowed to access and use all professions at all times. Paid to kill mobs, cut trees, dig holes, etc.)

    Day Jobs: +1
(Players are allowed to access all professions, but can only choose a couple at a time.)

    Slavery: -1
(Players are allowed access to few professions, and can only choose one at a time.)

    Volunteer: -3
(Players are not paid for any form of work.)

    McMMO
    McMMO custom: +2

(McMMO is installed and custom tweaks have been made to ensure a perfect fit to other mods on the server.)

    McMMO default: +1
(McMMO is installed with default values; it makes very little difference to other mods on the server.)

    No McMMO: -1
    (Self-explanitory.)

    PvP
    None: +2

    (PvP disabled everywhere.)

    PvP Areas: +1
    (PvP enabled in arena areas.)

    PvP enabled: -1
    (PvP enabled in the wilderness.)

    PvP active: -3
(PvP constantly active at the boundaries of safe zones.)

    Arena Combat
    Mob Arena max: +2

(Mob Arena set up with good rewards and allows for solo play.)

    Mob Arena norm: +1
(Mob Arena set up with defaults.)

    No Mob Arena: -1
    (Self-explanitory.)

    Rating Results
    20 - 27: I'll be right there!
    10 - 19: I'll come have a look.

0 - 9: Maybe you could try harder.
    -10 - -19: Walking away now...
    -20 - -29: Turn it off, you're wasting bandwidth.

I have a few questions I expect answered before I even consider signing up. (I really hate giving my email out to 3rd party websites.)

    1. I will only play in a
    FUNCTIONING economy, so:
    How much each are
    - Diamonds

    - Iron Ingots
    - Logs
    - Coal

    2. Do you have an effective system that allows players to
    buy AND sell:
    - Dyes and Wool Products
    - Wood and Stone Products
    - Food and Alchemy items
    - Rare materials (eg. Slimeballs)
    - Monster Eggs (eg. farm animals)

    3. It wasn't specified, but I'm assuming PvP is active. To what extent?

    4. Do you have a Live Map or some other means of
finding an uninhabited area for a new player to start?

    5. How frequently do you have to deal with griefers/thieves/migrating Runescape players?

(Be honest, because I will notice.)

I know I'm coming off like a pompous ass, but I've just been looking for a decent server for WAY too long. It gets pretty annoying after a while.

Ok, minor but important bug here.
I've installed everything correctly, I can play fine.
However when I use Spawner GUI to try and change the spawner output, it ignores me and sets it back to default (pig).
    My mod list:
    Ellian Detector
    Useful Seeds
    Modloader (duh)
    Spawner GUI
    Timber!
    TMI

Not sure what's causing this problem, but I hope it can be fixed. I just made an MST, and I need the spawner to produce skeletons.
