You have to put the zip into your saves folder. To get there, type %appdata% in the search box, then roaming > minecraft > saves. Or something like that.
You know, my first character, back in '99, was a Monk devoted to Quellious. This really took me back to my first days of MMO, back when it still was 'whoaaa...'.
I salute you, good sir.
Also, did you get the sewers set up? Those pallies have to get to their guild somehow, yanno :tongue.gif:
Just as a random thought... if we got a bunch of us together on a SMP server, we could probably recreate pre-Kunark EQ. It'd take a *LOT* of time and effort, which is why I say SMP, but I think it could be done.
IF some one would be willing to host such a server, I would definitely be up for it. And no, no sewers. Wasn't gonna bother with those until East Freeport was completed.
So, a while ago me and my brother created West Freeport, in its original state, from the mmo Everquest. We had started on North Freeport, but the file got deleted. I got bored a few weeks ago and decided to start this up again and just finished North Freeport. We were as accurate as possible in placing trees, cacti, furniture, signs, etc. Minecraft makes some things hard to replicate well though, so we tried our best.
Made two short videos showing most of West and North Freeport. I made them running at double the speed so it wouldn't take as long
After thinking about it for awhile I decided to put up a download for it. All I ask is that if anyone were to use it for anything, credit would be nice. So yeah, here is the download.
After making West Freeport the first time, I got pretty burnt out and didn't mess with it for a long time, and that is how I feel now after completing North Freeport. I plan on working on East Freeport next, its just going to be awhile before I can get myself to go through it again. After that, I would like to to East commons, Nro, etc.
Thanks go out to the classic Everquest server Project 1999 for making this possible.
Ive made new ore textures, that I am still not pleased with, but I haven't put up any screen shots of them. I messed around with the burn tool on the all the old textures, and just couldn't get them to come out right.
Looks very nice. I especially like the smooth stone, iron door, cacti, and torches..and most of it actually. Guess I'm not crazy about the nether, but it fits with the game(havn't played it) and I rarely go there anyways )

New rails/redstone (Made very quickly, will make redstone look better at some point)
Since there is only one type of tree in this pack (Or you could say they all look the same), there is only one sapling type.
Just found a stray pixel or two on the rails/redstone..also need to fix redstone torches, etc. Will get to that stuff eventually.
