Decided to post this again in the map section now that we have a copy of our build available for downloading.
This is a castle that utenan and I built for the Multiplay Xmas Creative Competition. It was built on one of the Multiplay servers in creative mode, no mods of any kind were used.
We worked pretty hard on this and it took about a month to make. Our first goal was to lower the terrain by a significant amount because the plots started at a height of 66 and we needed more room for the castle. So, 5 days and around 30,000 tnt later we had a huge crater in our plot. Several more days were spent tapering the edges, and the rest of the time was spent building the castle and making the terrain look nice.
Hey, always cool to see another one of these. I'm a big fan of recreating things from classic games in Minecraft. Its also pretty cool to see how everyone does things differently in builds like these. Its a common project yeah, but not many get very far. Actually, I've yet to see a completely finished one. So keep it up and good luck!

I decided to go ahead and post the save of my Battle of Hoth submission to the Star Wars contest. I really made it just to submit screenshots, so the terrain and stuff you can't see in the screenshots is uh...well not really made. So yeah, thought maybe a few people would like to check out the AT-ATs up close, use em for stuff, build the insides of them(something I didn't do), or whatever else.
The side grass part of the grass block is supposed to the right of the obsidian block. You just need to take only the grass portion of the texture, greyscale it (saturation to 0) and place this next to the obsidian block, the rest of the block should be transparent. This is so the grass part is effected by the biome colors.
I'm assuming this is the problem because your current sidegrass does not seem to be effected by biome coloring, maybe its not. If it is and my crappy description doesn't make sense, I can try and explain it better.
Great looking pack so far, has the potential to be one of the greats!
Only thing I have a problem with is the stone, I prefer smooth stone being..well, smooth :smile.gif:. I think it looks a lot nicer, especially when building with it, but this is just a personal preference. The texture itself is still great.
Also, love those iron doors. Keep up the good work
