A preview of the work done on Pokemon Glass. All the work was done in Beta 1.7.3 and we're currently working on getting the 1.8 update working with our server. We're wrapping up the ice gym and moving onto the water gym.
The goal is to release a single-player world for download... eventually.
Map made by Bandage and Mac with some help from Cyan Twirl. Music by Nintendo.
If you don't like 1.8, I seem to remember a neat feature that got added a while back. It's this screen that shows up and asks you if you want to update. And if you click no... it doesn't update! 1.7.3 forever! Huzzah, we can all have our cake and eat it too.
Now if you'll excuse me, there's an enderman eying my cake.
Is anyone else taking damage when maneuvering a boat from water onto a half slab 'dock'? I'm taking damage ranging from 0.5 hearts to 1 heart to insta-death.
My dock is not raised, so there is no fall damage and nothing is attacking me.
Ok guys im not really sure if this will work... but im sure your ready to try anything.
Go to (for XP I don't know **** about anyother OS's so)'
Start>>>Control Panel>>>Java>>>
In the general tab, at the bottom (Internet Settings) you will see a button that says "Settings"
Click it
Click the "Delete Files button" make sure both boxes are checked and click "OK"
Make sure
"Keep temporary files on my computer" is checked
(Disk Space) None = Compression
1000MB storage
Tried the above one, no luck. Already updated video drivers before without success.
Not about to go messing with my registry over an issue in a Beta version of a game, especially an issue that Mojang will eventually fix (and then inevitably break again). Patience seems like a better option.
I've been having this problem since 1.3 came out. 1.3_01 didn't fix it, as I was hoping it would. Currently awaiting 1.3_02.
I've tried multiple things. If I try to play using the launcher, I can get past login. After that, a black screen appears and the Java Platform SE Binary has stopped working message occurs. When trying to use Firefox or IE, there is no login screen, so it immediately crashes as soon as the page loads.
I have tried: Deleting the .minecraft folder, forcing the update via the launcher, reinstalling Java (the one from Java.com), updating my Nvidia drivers, and several combinations of the above.
Currently running Windows Vista 32 bit on a Sony Vaio laptop with Geforce 7400 Go video card.
What really annoys me is my roommate and my girlfriend can run it fine on their laptops. One is a MacBook and the other is a Windows Laptop.
We don't need a skeleton spawner for the mob grinder. We could make a generic one that spawns all 4 types of mobs, then grinds them. We'd get a lot of useless gunpowder and feathers, but also get the bones, arrows, and string that is very useful.
When I get back on next, I'm going to hijack part of the mine to build the underground mob grinder.
Ryan, I'm gonna be out of commission for a day or two, but I dropped into LC today to check stuff out. I saw a few houses up, and some neat features like the well and an archway.
These are great, but you should really work on the infrastructure. With the new addition of bonemeal, a mob grinder is imperative. with the addition of infinite bonemeal through the grinder, we could make a tree and wheat farm that can run continuously (since bonemeal insta-grows trees and crops). Since mob grinders are fairly unsightly (at least the ones I've seen) I'd suggest building this underground. I have a good design I found on the boards, but I can't find the link right now.
So infinite bonemeal -> infinite logs -> infinite wood-> infinite charcoal... etc etc. Lots of stuff falls into place if we can keep logs coming in continuously.
If you can wait a few days, I'll be on to build the mob grinder.
Also, you need to get a public branch/strip mine going. I recommend building one at level 12, since this is in the center of the diamond layer, but just above the lava layer.
Not to mention, this'll give the citizens/merchants jobs. Gotta keep the citizens employed, right boss?
