I'm the creator of the StarWars mod and I'm working with my team on the MCAnimator right now, the brand-new 3D software to create and animate your mobs and models.
Me and another coder of my team have decided to start a simple yet stunning mod based on MCAnimator technology, to show its full potential.
We are currently looking for a skilled modeller as we are already 2 experienced coders.
The mod will be about some epic mobs, but we cannot tell more right now.
If you like epic battles, please consider our project.
Please write here any previous experience you have
Okay so I was implementing all this into my mod but I got some error that I don't know how to fix. It keeps saying "getRotationMatrix() is undefined", "resetRotationMatrix is undefined", and "getDefaultRotationAsQuaternior is undefined". Is it because the .mca was created in V1.0? They all source backing saying it's missing from the MCAModelRenderer, which it is, but shouldn't it have already automatically generated those methods? Also, "resetRotationPoint" is missing as well.
The fix has been applied. Sorry for the bug, you should export your model again and everything will be fine
Does MCAnimator work on Mac?
Of course it does. MCAnimator is the only modeling software for Minecraft that works in Windows, Mac and Linux.
I wanted to make a custom block model with this and I have a Mac, what other programs can help me with this and what is the problem that is preventing this program from doing it? Now, I have a model in blender that I like and it can export .obj files, .js files and an old .json file format. Based off of my knowledge of the .json format of some actual 3D packs that work, I think all I really need help with is getting the correct file format of my model. (Meaning, I can figure out how to show in the code where the texture file is, and figure out other small perks that aren't crucial to the actual model.) However, I am also worried that the UV mapping might not carry over.
In our planned list there're 2 things you are surely interested in: creating blocks within the MCAnimator and importing models from Blender.
The first one has a lot more priority. We are already trying to think a good way for creating blocks with custom models and animations for Minecraft 1.8. Probably you'll be able to do this in the 1.3 version

The program messed some things up when creating the 1.2 version. We are updating the links right now, give us few minutes please
Hi
I used MCA before and i dont know what file changed since last version in MCA library.
and u said you had possibility to create custom animation like looking, where is it in the library? what should i do to implement it ?
anyway thx a lot for your work.
Hello everyone! As a developer of this amazing program, It's just great hearing all these great things from all of you! I want to thank you all and also AXELTOPOLINO for being such a great person to work with! It's just great when you create something that's so helpful and makes everyone so proud! You guys are the best!
Never found so easy working with other people on a project
By the way, this reminds me that we should do a banner for the MCAnimator. Many supporters would add it in their sign
Have fun with the many improvements and some interesting new features, like: copy-paste boxes (with their children), get interpolated values between keyframes, 2 new tools for the Texture Tab, a completely improved Library that will allow perfect animations into your mod.
While you play with the new version, give a warm welcome to Fir3will, the new coder who has worked hard to realized many of the features!
As we have already said, we'll provide some new tutorials before the end of the week!
Ps. If you like our work and want to support its developement, do it on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/DDS
No more than 24 hours and the new 1.2 version will be released!
We are sure you will love this new version with its new features and fixes.
An official tutorial on how to implement the exported files into your mod will be provided before the end of the week and we are already working on an example mod to show you how to use the API.
since we are already at feature suggestions: .obj import
blender has a far more powerful (on the other hand complicated to use, but that is to be expected) uv texture layout editor
and it would be great to export them to minecraft json entities
Already planned Just give us the necessary amount of time and you'll be able to import models from Blender into the MCAnimator. We are still not sure which things need to be done in Blender to guarantee a correct import, but we'll figure out in the next days. Glad to know many features are being requested, we love seeing people paying attention to the correct development of the program

You are right, but they were talking about a newer version more stable. We will eventually update to this version then

Nope, it will be directly updated to 1.8 when Forge will be stable
