i hope they add emerald tools in a later on update.
I hope I can make my spare change into pickaxes too. Unfortunately, it's for buying stuff, not for swords.

I'm sorry, but I despise this idea of changing names. Sure, I regret my name, and more so down the track because I chose it from what bullies used to call me, but honestly let's look at the pros and cons of this.
1. You can have a cool new username.
1. Server Owners can't ban you if you change your name.
2. It is morally confusing for people to distinguish you.
3. It's going to cause many problems down the track, whether system overloads at Mojang, or debates of innapropriateness.
This is why I don't condone this new idea Jeb brought to mind, it's just plain horrible and will lead to a new level of griefing.
but what if you ahve a base name that's whitelisted, ect...and a second name in chat? A server admin would somehow be able to find your bannable name, and it would work then....right?
Nov 24, 2011Posted in: NewsI think I know why notch got so pissed off at yogscast. It's because they showed off a lot of mods in their presentation and notch notoriously hates mods because he feels like they undermine his work. This is what I think anyway.
Actually, that's false. Somebody from Mojang even mentioned work on a mod API
Nov 24, 2011I've been staying quiet, but now that I've heard both sides, here's what I think (because everyone cares and nobody seems to have an opinion)Posted in: News
First of all-I'm assuming Notch and the Yogscast both believe they're telling the truth--Notch has always given lots of details on his blog, and the Yogscast seems also quite reliable.
Also, remember: Notch posted his statement short le after the Into the Nether party, making and he even said he was tired. So anything he heard could have been grossly misinterpreted.
The Yogscast waited for their jet lag (and Simon's con-flu) to go away before making an official statement. Theirs is more likely to be true. For one thing it does admit some things and gives reasons. It is also more likely to include less misinterpretations because of their state compared to Notch's at the time.
Therefore, I have to side with the Yogscast. Notch may have been out of it, and I still am not going to hate him for it. It's twitter, and I think part of the cool thing about him is how he will say almost everything on his blog or twitter. This is one of the ugly byproducts of it, but in general, it has made the community more vibrant, and feel a lot closer to the creator of the game.
So don't blame Notch too much--part of what I think the beauty of the game is, is itself a result of his openness.
