So here's my answer:

1. With the loot in my map, mobs drop most of it because it's a monster hunter map. You can then trade it with villagers to make it better or use it to make armor weapons and tools become better versions of themselves. Certain items you can trade multiple times, and every time you trade them they become better and a word is added to the start of their name (similar to Terraria). For example, if you trade an Iron Battleaxe once it'll become an "Enhanced Iron Battleaxe", and if you trade the Enhanced Iron Battleaxe you'll get a "Supreme Iron Battleaxe". And just to be clear, you need to trade a weapon/armor piece/tool with some other loot (or just another weapon/armor piece/tool) to upgrade it.

2. I don't really remember. I'm pretty sure my loot system was just inspired by all the RPG style games' loot.

How do you go about adding spawners? So how many, where, and what types? And do you count, or just random, or another way?

The map was meant to be played at a slower pace, and I don't think you saw the sign that said you have to get most of your stuff from mob drops. I like this. As a non-mapmaker-for-this-jam, I think you should have all the mapmakers nominate their maps for different categories, and they can only nominate their map for up to X categories, where X is maybe 1/2 to 1/4 of the categories? Perhaps everyone should automatically be nominated for "best map", though, unless they specifically opt out.

So I've kinda been hesitating to put a poll up for the final voting, mostly because of the insane amount of maps that were created. We almost doubled the number of entries from last Jam, and I'm guessing most of you probably haven't played many more than ten of them. If you have, congrats and I admire your dedication.

It's not just a matter of the number of entries being a pain to input into whatever polling medium I choose, it's more about wanting to fully represent each entry, as opposed to having a list and the maps by the more big-name mapmakers get voted up more than others, because those are the ones most people played.

I really am not sure what to do about this. Do you guys think it's even worth doing a poll for the entries, or should we just leave it and keep the whole event under the "for fun" category?
