As mentioned above, installing optifine may help.

If your still having problems, I have an idea but just want to confirm something.

Can you open a command prompt and type:

    java -version

and post the output of that command?

It might tell you "java is an unknown command", or something similar.

AMD does not give supported drivers on Windows 8.1 for your graphics card. You have 3 options.

    - Try the instructions in the 8th post in this thread.

    - If the above does not work, you can try the instructions in the 4th post in this thread.

    - As a last resort you can downgrade to Windows 8. I haven't seen the above solutions fail yet though.

You can install 64-bit Java from here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.

Be sure to select Windows Offline (64-bit).

I'm wondering how they even got access to do that in the first place. Maybe that's some bug.
Do you see anything strange in the server logs? Such as a log message when that item was made?

If you wish you can PM me the server if you feel it necessary.

Hmm, you state that you have a Nvidia Geforce GT 740M but in the DxDiag it says (in my understanding) it is using your intel integrated graphics. In the DxDiag it is detecting your graphics card, your computer is just not using it. (To my understanding).

I'll try to find out more about the issue in the meantime but hopefully someone else has some ideas.

In the meantime you can try installing drivers from here to see if it helps: http://www.nvidia.co...spx/73784/en-us

    Quote from garlotch

I have a feeling this is a troll, because it's extremely weird and... if it's genuine then I think that it's either a resource pack, modification... or someone has just straight up hacked you! :steve_shocked:

I'm having feelings its a troll or a specific server. The issue is too abnormal IMO.

If this is not a troll, my suggestion is to just backup your saves folder and delete your .minecraft folder

It looks to me like the .minecraft folder was moved into the .technic folder. So now the original .minecraft folder is located at "C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Roaming\.technic\.minecraft".

I'm not sure if that is another .minecraft folder that was intentionally made. If not, then move that .minecraft folder back into "C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Roaming".

posted a message on OpenGL Issues (With updated drivers)
This thread is very similar to your issue: http://www.minecraft...e-to-launch-mc/

The instructions that I have posted here are specific to your problem.
    Follow the instructions below

    1. Use the uninstall option of the catalyst driver package that was linked (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows 8 - 64) to remove all AMD components from the computer.

    2. Use the install option of the catalyst driver package to do an Express install of the driver.

    3. Change the display adapter to use the new driver:
    a. Navigate to device manager (Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers > Device Manager)
b.Navigate to Display Adapters > ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
    c. Right-click on "ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series" and open "Properties".
    d. Click on the "Driver" tab and click on "Update Driver".
    e. Select "Browse My Computer for Driver Software".
    f. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
    g. Select "ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series" (the one without "Microsoft Corporation...").
    h. Click "Next". The driver should start installing and your screen should flicker a few times.
    i. Click "Close".

Credit goes to this thread on the Steam forums for the solution.
