If anyone is looking for a place to build and have fun with people without having to worry about being grievers, this is the place! Hello. The name is 8e8, and I'm 22. I'm looking for a small SMP server with a great community. I'm interested in working with other players to come up with some interesting creations and sustain a small town within the game. I like to start from the ground up, because I find big servers/towns to be too overwhelming and there really isn't much fun in adding to them. I prefer starting a town with a small group of people and expanding it into something greater.
It gets hard wading through this list of servers to find the one you're looking for. If anyone knows of a good small vanilla server that's up right now I'd appreciate it if you replied or PMed me (if it's private). Thanks.
It may not be much right now but it's definitely turning into something. The admins are a nice couple of guys who just want to have some fun playing MC the way it was made to be played. We've been starting from scratch without the use of giveaway and doing just fine. I quite like it that way. It's more fun when the players work together harmoniously to build a town from scratch.
We did have an issue with 2 griefers, one was killing people, which prompted the removal of PVP, and another lighting everything on fire. Needless to say they're gone. That was the only trouble we had in what was about.. 2-3hrs? The server is still fragile but they will be implementing protection from these people in the future.
It's a small server but they plan on expanding, just not too much I hope. I like small servers, because it means a better community.
Anyway, I'll wrap this up by saying I can't wait for it to come back online (offline for protection while admins are away).
I enjoy creating things, mainly contraptions, and making life easier in minecraft for fellow builders/miners. I'd like a server with a tight knit group of people so we can put our heads together and come up with some awesome creations, and have fun doing it.
I'm tired of playing on broken beta servers and would like to join an alpha server (preferrably somewhat vanilla with anti-griefing) for the time being. Anyone got suggestions?
