posted a message on i keep cheating on my main world

It's tempting, but I just resist the urge by saving and quitting, or loading up a last save. If it helps you, copy your world file to a safe location before each time you log on, and if something bad happens during your playsession, you can always replace your failed world with the copy.

Contact the admins, but, it's an anarchy server, so don't expect much.

posted a message on Minecraft server admin asked for remote access to machine

Looks like someone ported over Discord Moderators to Minecraft and placed them in command of a server.

i'M eXpErIeNcEd At MoDeRaTiNg DiScOrD sErVeRs So I sHoUlD hAvE mOd On MiNeCrAfT

Yeah, that's not going to work.

Your son should absolutely NOT play on this server ever again, (not that he can). This is absolutely not safe, and I would recommend you do a full reset of his computer right now, because there is no telling what that admin installed on your son's PC. Alternatively, scan with an antivirus.

This thread is from 2014... I do believe that this is necroposting, however cool it is.

I think it's good that the ender eye requires blaze powder, as I wouldn't step foot into a fortress until I was wither hunting if I didn't need blaze powder.

Yeah. It makes it so that you have to visit every part of the game before progressing, much like a game with different levels, but without levels, at the same time.

posted a message on Do Drowned spawn more frequently around Ocean Ruins?

Yes. Adding on to this train of thought, the mobs that spawn in/near generated structures when the structure is first generated do not despawn when you leave. If you leave without killing any of them, the same amount of mobs you left behind will be the same amount of mobs you return to. Bear that in mind when exploring.

Also, if you were wondering about Drowned spawn rates, the river biome has a much higher spawning rate than the ocean biomes, and allow for both aerial and underwater farms as well. Perfect if you want a trident, which is the likeliest reason that you're seeking out Drowned in the first place.

In the same way, why does the End Crystal recipe related to End have Ghast tear and Blaze powder related to nether? Why does the End rod recipe related to End have a Blaze rod related to nether?

Interesting. Maybe it's because the devs at Mojang wanted the items to "lead you on your path". It's middlegame items advancing you towards the endgame. The thought process behind it when they first made it was probably, "Oh, the Nether's so boring and dangerous. Players will go only for the blaze rods, and never go again." The devs most likely wanted to circumvent this, by having the player visit the Nether in the middlegame to get blaze rods, and then revisit it again in the endgame to get ghast tears. Now, with the Nether update, the Nether is more interesting, with good loot. Players will actually want to visit it now. The crafting recipe for the eyes of ender have always been the same, so they probably didn't want to change it, as it was memorized by a lot of the community and would possibly cause an uproar as to why it was changed.

posted a message on Glass Cutter
    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

In a glass update there are 3 things I'd like to be added

your suggestion, a glass cutter to get more panes per glass block

    and hardened glass.

hardened glass would be a type of treated glass able to withstand Ghast fireballs without being destroyed,

and able to withstand a Creeper explosion, making it the third toughest material next to obsidian and bedrock,

but can still be destroyed by TNT, which is where it differs from the other 2.

This would be useful for making bases immune to hostile mob attacks of any form.

But Wither's can still destroy it, so players would need to be careful not to spawn one too close to builds they do not want ruined as usual.

Also glass shards should be added for broken glass, making glass recyclable when broken.

9 shards should be used to make a heap of crushed glass on a crafting table, then each heap of crushed glass can then be used to make a glass block in a furnace later on. So players could then dedicate chests for collecting broken glass, if they wanted to, but they would still need to be careful not to break glass as the amount of glass they get back isn't equal, some glass will still be lost if glass blocks are smashed, either accidentally or intentionally.

On a final note, the glass cutter could also be used to make more panes out of the toughened glass blocks I just mentioned earlier.

Hardened glass... Perhaps you should call it Tempered Glass? Just a suggestion. Also, yes, the glass shards would be very cool, but would be as useless as glowstone dust until you have enough of it to craft a whole block, because if you mine glass with an empty hand, it would drop shards, just like glowstone does when mined with a non-silk touch pick.

Perhaps an "Enderium" (or whatever the material is) upgrade to Iron can create something like the Resonant Iron found in a few mods, allowing the player some limited teleportation abilities in exchange for durability on the armor

YESS! Glad to hear someone agrees with me on something. Enderium sounds cool as well. Maybe just Ender, for the ore name? Ender Armor and Ender tools. The armor teleportation is something that I would LOVE to see in the game though.

posted a message on 7th Tier Tools

You could possibly make this "enderite" material the same rarity as netherite. However, there should definitely not be a 7th-tier weapon. 6 tiers is enough. Maybe, if you upgrade to netherite, you can't have enderite? There should be multiple 6th-tier weapons, like Netherite sword, and Enderite sword being on the same tier. The enderite sword could possibly have a special "dash" attack, that makes you dash forward in the direction you're facing in, doing 8 damage? The tradeoff would be that you could possibly get hurt by mobs while dashing, like zombies' contact attacks, and every time you dash, the sword loses 2 durability. Similar to how endermen escape by teleporting and moving quickly, enderite could give you similar buffs. Enderite armor could give you a little speed boost, similar to how netherite armor gives you knockback resistance and is impervious to lava and burning.

Just some of my thoughts on enderite.
