Maby I should reword this. THE MAP IS MY IDEA!!!!
Unless Someone ecle sugested it before and/or after me.
I'm hopeing for some clarification.
I really seriously doubt you're the first person to ever think of putting a map in a video game with a large world.
I would be shocked to find you were the first one to think of putting a map in Minecraft. - To post a comment, please login.

So what kind of mine do you use in step 0 to get steel?

A bit disheartening because I was looking forward to some serious spelunking and I just can't seem to find any.

So one tree grows. I start to chop it down. As soon as I get rid of the trunk another tree is like OMG I CAN GROW NOW and it appears, smothering me in its branches.
Moral: Space out your tree farm. 1 torch = 1 tree. No doubling up :smile.gif:

Punch trees for wood, punch leaves for saplings.
Make workbench, 1 wooden pickaxe and 1 wooden hoe.
Hoe grass until hoe dies, taking all seeds.
Break workbench down to take with me.
Dig straight down (making new tools and hopefully torches as needed/able) until either:
A) Hit bedrock. Dig sideways until:
1) Die from lava. Delete world and restart.
2) Find cave. Block off side caves and make a home base. Explore world from there.
:cool.gif: Die from fall/lava. Delete world and restart.
C) Fall into cave. Block off side caves and make a home base. Explore world from there.
Ideally, I never die and subsist underground with my trees and wheat. Explore the cave system and otherwise have a great time. Eventually, get bored/lost/dead/whatever. Delete and restart.

Don't you mean "For millions of dollars and the chance to start your own company doing what you love."
Granted, I personally wouldn't disassociate myself from everybody I know for that, but I'd be willing to put them on the back burner for a while. And I expect they'd all understand.

I have no idea if it's possible, but Recognizers seems an obvious choice.
Too bad you can't drive a tank :biggrin.gif:

Count the meters between your two portals. Let's say they're 150 meters (blocks) apart. You don't have to be exact but you should be within 10 or so.
Go through the first of your two portals. The first one you laid down. Make sure you're facing the direction of the other portal.
Don't turn, and walk 1/8th the number of meters you determined above. In this example, you'd walk 150/8 = 19(about) meters.
Build a portal here. Light it, and go thorough.
If you did it right, you will come out in your 2nd portal, and everything will be linked correctly.

Because I didn't think this needed "proof." It's not like I was bragging about seeing 45 diamonds exposed on the surface or something.
I wish I'd paid attention. I *think* it was covered with a block of normal stone but I don't know that for a fact.

But what does it meeeeean!?

I was mining, the two meters directly above the highest adminimum level, and I came across a stone block with a redstone wire already on it, in a + pattern on the top. I cleared out all 26 adjacent blocks and they were all either stone or adminium (It was on level 5 I think, the level just above the top adminium level). When I broke it, I got a redstone from it.
Anybody ever see something like this? This was on a fresh, undoctored level created with 1.2.2 in survival single player.
