Hey guys, i was just wondering, what is your method of finding diamonds?
i personally dig a shaft all the way down to layer 5, go back up to to layer 13
and dig 1 whole iron pick axe worth outwards then i i go in 1 square from the shaft stairs,
dig into the wall to 6 deep, and go the other way 6, then back out to the tunnle,
so basically
im making a 5x5 chunk, and i do this down both sides
then i dig out the middles of the 5x5 squares, i came up with this method this morning
and so far i have found 50 diamonds!
Must suck to have such a tight budget...
Got anything you can cut? or is it just food, rent, bills ATM.
na dude not really anything i can cut, cuz well, i dont really have anything, the only thing that i have is my cell phone and the internet... so ya.. like you said, just food rent and bills but who sometimes you get lucky and find 5 bucks on the ground :biggrin.gif:

im not a fan of HD texture packs, but that ones awesome, whats it called?

yes it is an awesome pack, its called "mixcraft hd" it is in the texture pack section, as for the lagg, ive only noticed maybe a loss of no more then 5 fps so basically no lagg :smile.gif:

also to get the cobble stone i have, open up an image editor (gimp,photoshop ect.)then drag and drop the terrain.png file to ur desktop then open it in your editor, now select and copy the alternate cobble stone then paste it over the original, save it then drag and drop the new terrain.png back into the pack and you should be good to go

this isnt actually "my" minecrft, i go over to my friend jeff's house to go play minecraft because he bought it and at the current time i cant afford it :\ so i usally get home before he does and i go over to his place, play with his cat, raid his fridge then onto his laptop i go to play minecraft :smile.gif:

im thankfull this has never happened to me O.o i tested it by sleeping out in the open, in a cave and an unlit room and nothing spawned by me, BUT do you suppose its because your on the ground and not in like a wood house with cobble floors?
I think it would smell like smoke and ash, because of all the fire and lava... WAIT, on second thought,now that i'm thinking of all that fire and lava, you wouldn't smell anything, you would just simply scream in horrible pain as your legs burn into oblivion and your skin bubble away to nothing. Leaving you a pile of bones, which quickly melt in the hot mush of what used to be your legs.
Looking back at this post, I realized i'm a greatly disturbed person o.0. for you for a great thread.

As you walk in the Nether, the first thing you notice is the horrible smoke smells. Not of burning wood, but thick, awful things burning. As you approached a gang of pigmen, the air would begin to reek of half rotten flesh, similar to burning manure, I would imagine. If you were able to pull in a Ghast, or get close enough to feel it, you would begin to feel numb in all of your senses, and simply feel a sudden cold, greater heat, or some sort of static tingling. The soul sand smells sulphury and swampish, but as you approach Glowstone, it seems to feed off of the other things in the air, purifying it like some sort of plant on coke. As you run to escape, the air near the portal smells a bit of the outside, and when you return to your house, you notice it smells slightly of the hellhole. It looks like you either tracked Soulsand or Pigman crap on your shoe. Good job.

if there were smells in the game, what do you think the nether would smell like?
personally i think it would reek of blood and burning flesh, but thats just my thoughts, what do you guys think it would smell like?
