Well, I for one loved Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped; and iirc I've got a playstation plus copy somewhere (and probably the PS1 copy, but I think it was damaged. I never really played the original CB, but I played (and still have) the 2nd and 3rd games, as well as Twinsanity and WoC, to which I felt was a tad disappointing (and had sold since).

Anyway, though, I may be able to help out with the 2nd or 3rd titles, preferably the 3rd my favourite of the series (and I'm unsure if my original copy of the 2nd still works).

    Name: just call me Hilly

    Age: 16

Job your applying for: Builder, but I Can make texture-packs (see my profile); I'm not that great, though

An example of some of your work: Argh; nothing that's really that close to this franchise, and nothing 'amazing' that's complete, but okay:

Steampunk-style cathedral; a build for my adv. map (unfinished obviously). Texturepack is Victoriacraft - an excellent pack by the guy helping the project.

'Ferrodil Town'; again, part of this adv. map. Texture-pack is an unreleased beta copy of steelfeathers' skyrim-pack

A very-early look at one of the concept-builds for a boss for one of the larger-levels:

Contact details: practically everything uses this same name; so skype is also minihilly (but I rarely use it...; just PM me)

As for you guys not getting much attention: screenshots of progress would greatly help; else, it makes it appear you're just wanting people to do the work for you...

Oh my god, someone's actually replying!
Yeah, like Eth said we don't have anything to show just yet, and we don't actually know how to post screenshots... how do you post them?

Ugh, I know, I mean, 113 views and only one post from another person? Is everyone just sitting there eating Snickers? Anyone reading this, just post your thoughts, you don't need an application, just posting your support and ideas is enough. Worldpainter is essentially useless for this topic, but I myself love WorldPainter and would love to see some things you have made (I kinda suck at it a bit...) Thanks for the help yet again

Once again, if I knew how to post screenshots I'd be happy to show you. I dunno', maybe the community just doesn't like Crash Bandicoot? I think I have one friend who likes the franchise, I'll ask her if I ever get the chance.

Man, thanks for all of the help, this seems to be getting pretty popular, I mean, 98ish views? We are doing pretty good.... Don't worry about the textures, I might be able to do some myself... And I will do the Wrath of Cortex warp room first, I say first order of business is to get all warp rooms or the map in the case of the first crash and N Sanity beach when it comes to Twinsanity, and the first level to get a feel for the building style and textures. My friend Yuvin might be able to set us up with a only slightly laggy server so we can build together, and if you have any experience with World Edit or Voxel Sniper, let me know, if not, No matter, I have some experience with it... Once again, thanks for all the help.

I can use Worldpainter relatively well, although that's probably not what you're looking for. I just hope we get at least one more person to post.

Yea, I will admit, the environments and some of the concepts were good but because of it we will probably never see a proper Crash Game ever again... It seems a shame that games like Spyro and Crash had 3 big games on PS1, 2 Big ones on PS2 from different developers then get turned into something that isn't even anything like the original any more .. Anyway, of topic, I've been doing a bit of a play around with textures and making the warp room, and it is clear we are going to need texture artists and some intricate builders pretty freaking fast. I can get the entire place set up easy peasy, but it actually makes me slightly nauseous looking at it, If you know anyone with such skills please let me know, if not, that's Ok. Should be able to get a server up soon, then we can get this party started (If you wan't to call it a party, if not, that's cool, that's cool....)

Sadly, I can't make textures (I don't know how to, with instructions I might be able to get the hang of it). I can build well enough; I'll test a few warp room designs in single player (it'll be the one from Wrath of Cortex).

Yea, sorry about the mutant games, I just think the ability to ride mutants and create all the different types of them would be near impossible to engineer without mods, and I really have no idea on how to upload images myself.....

I didn't like the mutant games much anyway.
    Glad to hear I'm accepted.

Sounds like fun; Crash Bandicoot is one of my favorite platformers (thanks for not including the mutant games). I've played quite a bit Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity (but none of the others); I know plenty of levels practically by heart.

    Name: kynarus.

    Job: builder.

Pictures: I'll get back to you here; how do I upload images?

    Yes it is.

Have the devs come out with an official statement? because otherwise I can't see the logic in that statement; redstone could have numerous scientific explanations.

posted a message on How is riding pigs original?
    Quote from vrejcraft

Something to everyone: You like pigs? ride the pigs. You like horses? Ride the horses. Isn't Minecraft about doing anything you want? Answer: Yes, but people forget that way to often.

~ Sorry for my English, it is not my main language.

Game design isn't quite that simple. Although that might make sense in theory, in practice it (potentially) places pigs, and subsequently pig riders, at a disadvantage. Now, horse features are almost entirely speculation at this point, but judging by what's been (sort of) confirmed, the assumptions made by the community, and the assumption that pigs aren't going to get an overhaul, let's compare the two.

Horses have been speculated to be fully controllable with WASD; pigs require an item to give them a very vague idea of where to go, that's already a point in horse's favor. Horses can jump on command; pigs only ever jump when they reach a surface they can't walk over, horse gets another point. Horses jump over fences; pigs can't, horse wins again. Horses can be armored, pigs can't, horse +1. Horses remain still when not being directed by the player, pigs will wander randomly without player-input, and there's no way to keep pigs still short of fencing them in, which is highly impractical, score for horses. The player can attack from horseback easily, the player can't attack while directing a pig, and if the player gets out a weapon (or any item other than a carrot stick) then the pig will wander making combat highly impractical. The horse wins.

As you can see pigs will (theoretically) be severely outmatched by horses. While the 'choice' argument may technically hold true in single-player (although there'll still be the feeling that you're ignoring an important feature), it completely falls apart when you apply it to multi-player; pig lovers will be severely outclassed by their horse riding enemies, meaning, while there is still a choice, the choice will leave them at a disadvantage. There are ways Mojang could counter this though; what if pig saddles were craft-able, while horse saddles were found in dungeons? Now pigs are a cheap mode of transport that can be found as easily as boats, while horses require far more effort. The pigs are like wood while horses are diamond tier. The problem is solved without relying on the audience to limit themselves.

I've been testing out the enchantment books in 1.4.6 when I found an enchantment I hadn't heard of: 'bunch of 5s. I checked the wiki and couldn't find anything, does anyone know what this enchantment does?

Edit: Okay, figured it out, ignore this.
