You should have a chest that you have to use xp, certain items, etc to open it, and would be unbreakable. Same for doors, trapdoors, levers. buttons, etc.

That would be a good idea and would go well with all the others. Also, there should be a way to switch to survival in creative mode, we will probably want to test our maps.

Nah, Two different company's. 343 is going to ruin halo for me, From what i heard, The multiplayer is just going to take place in one ship.

The multiplayer is going to be mostly the same formula as the other games, they just made up a story that the maps are a sort of virtual simulation that takes place on a ship.

I hate when people judge a whole entire series just by playing one game.
In my experience, I know people who hate Legend of Zelda cause they don't have the patience for the Puzzles

Do they actually say the games are bad or do they just not like playing?
It's absolutely fine to have an opinion but that doesn't mean you have a right to say great things suck.

I would espeshaly love this idea if you could make a mine card that has a drill bit on the first car, power sorce on the second, and a rail placer in the back.

That way it will push forward drilling a 3x2 tunnel around it and leave a rail track behind .... could do so as long as it has enugh track pices and fuel

I think that might make the TNTcart redundant, what I personally think the Miningcart should do is make a 2 block high and 1 block wide tunnel, and if you attach a chestcart to the train then anything it mines will be put in there.

I can see some of these working well in PVP, much like your minecart suggestion. Keep up the good work.

This is actually a really good idea. I can see a lot of fun sieges happening in PVP.
If possible you should make a mod and plug-in for this.

If I might make another suggestion, how about a controllable turret? It would act as a dispenser-minecart except you have to be in the cart behind it and you can aim it in an 180 degree angle. This would have several advantages and disadvantages over the regular turret-Minecart such as being able to shoot specific things but would take away stealth and leave you open to attacks from enemy players.

No, it's purgatory. I've read the Book of Revelation.

And there's no inter-user 'war'. It's a debate on the nature of mechanics in Minecraft that started because of your post.

And why did you report the first reply? It was criticism, and if you can't take that then you don't belong here.

The Nether is modelled off Inferno, the general idea of Purgatory's appearance is a mountain-island leading to heaven.
OT: this is an interesting idea but would probably be best as a mod (much like the aether).

    Not quite...

I was saying that there would be a world already there (much like a custom map) that you would find in your singleplayer world list. Otherwise, it's 100% the same.

    Meh, same difference.

    Yes, now that is stupid.

Something about how Doom is a ripoff of Halo. If you think about it, it's far more correct to say Halo is a ripoff of Doom. Not that I'm saying that, they're completely different.

Doom came out 8 years before Halo, so technically that's correct, but they are completely different games.

'[About Minecraft] Eeeeeeh, i'd play it but the graphics suck'.

    MY ****ING GOD.
    EVERY TIME SOMEONE SAYS THAT.
    ALL OF MY RAGE ._.

I don't get affected by a lot of other stuff people say.
Although I get bugged when people think everyone ever loves RTS games.
I honestly find them mind-numbingly boring. StarCraft's campaign was fun because it felt a lot less . . . 'strategic' than the online play. And the art style was nice.

Well, Minecraft's graphics really aren't that good, the game's aesthetics are great but 16x16 isn't good graphics.

Half Life 2 Is very overrated, Even tho it has a great story, it is no where near what i would call a nine out of ten, or game of our generation, It is enjoyable but is not in the same leagues as that of the halo series, fallout series, and mass effect series

Soooo.... why is your name TehHeadCrab then?
That said though, I completely agree (though I didn't think the story was anything special), I'd give it a 8 at most if I reviewed (and I have).

I'd just like to remind everyone that the OP said the tutorial would be a world-type, meaning it's completely optional. When you start a new world you can choose the normal world (or a flat one) or you can choose a tutorial. This way if you want the new player experience you can still have it, or if you want to be taught the controls you can use this tutorial.

I support the idea as long as a tutorial is a world-type or game-mode.
