    Just wanted to let you know that it's not cool to make a map called "Uncharted Territory 4", since that name is still owned by Amlup even if he hasn't made another map yet. There's nothing wrong with creating a map inspired by his series (and it's actually pretty cool), but you should call it something else and not try to reuse the name of Amlup's series. Last time somebody tried to make a map using the "Uncharted Territory" name, it caused a whole bunch of drama and Amlup got pretty mad at the person.

    What is MadenCraft?
    MadenCraft is a small, vanilla-gameplay focused server with a focus on player interactions and cooperation to make something amazing. I know that it can be hard to find to find a good server with the flood of low-quality ones that pop up daily. As such, I am striving to build a friendly, helpful server community to allow for people to have fun exploring all Minecraft has to offer, together.


    Why Choose MadenCraft?
    The focus of this community is to escape from the outside world, and cooperate with other like-minded players in a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment. This should be a place to build friendships, be it digital or in real life.


    Server Staff:
    This server is administrated by me, 14er, with heavy input from the player community on how things should be run, in order to create an open-ended environment!

    The world was started on July 20th, 2018, and as such, is still very fresh and new!

    What happens when you combine a 14er; 3 hours; and a strawberry jam? You get this unabalanced joke map! DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY; but it is a jam map.

    posted a message on I found a Pig Spawner in a Mineshaft?????

    Updating from 1.10 to 1.11 changes some formatting for mob names and IDs (along with some other things with spawners).

    This results in the upgrade possibly resetting all spawners to the default Pig spawner. You can either change it back using a spawn egg and creative; or by deleting the chunk in an external program and regenerating it in 1.11 (may not work for dungeons, since they aren't strictly seed based).

    v4
    This is the fourth version of the Strawberry Jam, a mapmaking jam with the goal being to make a CTM minimap over the course of 3 days. Everybody is welcome to participate, and feel free to tell all of the world about this jam!
    When is the Jam?
    The jam will be run over the course of 3 weeks, with a wave each weekend. Maps must be posted to this thread before the end of the jam. Please state which wave you are participating in below before you start making a map. The waves last a total of 72 hours. The theme will be posted before the first wave begins.
    Wave #1: July 22 - 24
    Wave #2: July 29 - 31
    Wave #3: August 5 - 7
    What You Do
    During the course of the Jam, your goal is to build a CTM minimap with at least 3 objectives (or more :D) within the 72 hour time block. Put as much detail and gameplay in as you can. Your map can be designed to play in either survival mode (normal CTM) or adventure mode (no breaking or placing blocks).
    Rules and Guidelines for the Jam

    1) Incorporate the theme into the map, in some way, shape or form.

    2) You will have 72 hours to complete the map. You are not expected to spend all 72 hours working on the map nonstop. You just have to start and finish the map within the time period.

    3) You have 24 hours to prepare before the jam starts (the Thursday before). No building of the map should be completed during this time period. You are allowed to plan your map during this time

    4) You may use 3rd party tools (SPC, WE, MCedit, Kamyu's Tools, etc)

    5) You may start the jam with basic schematics: fleecy boxes, the monument, trademark weapons, basic spawners. Nothing that is made specifically for the jam. What is legal is the contents of a mapper's "toolkit".

    6) You can record / live stream your progress, and are encouraged to do so.

    7) The map should be at least 3 objectives long. You can make it longer if you want

    8) People are allowed to team up with other mapmakers. If they do so, they must have at least 3 objectives per person.

    9) You are encouraged to play everybody's maps and give them feedback!

    10) You can slightly bend the rules, just note it in your post with a download link, and try to keep with the rules as best you can.


    What is CTM?
    A CTM (Complete the Monument) Map is a survival-based map in which the player is free to break and place blocks at a whim. The player must traverse custom-created environments in search of various objectives, traditionally colored wool, while overcoming a variety of monsters, traps, and challenges. They then must return those wool to a specially made Monument in order to win the map! (copied from the Strawberry Jam, they said it best)

    Hello, I would like to join the PokémonCA team and help you with making the map.


    Some Qualification:

    • I have Skype, Steam, and an email
    • My primary username is 14er; I have a second account as well
    • I know how to program Python, Java, C#, and HTML
    • I first picked up Minecraft May 19, 2009; so I have a bit of game experience
    • I'm not the best at graphical design (not my specialty)
    • I am very skilled with redstone, logic, and area design/flow
    • Knowledge of command blocks
    • Have a lot of time I can dedicate to this map
    • Have beaten every official Pokémon game released and a few unofficial ones
    • Pre-Public-Release tester for: The Long Dark, Minecraft, Crypt of the Necrodancer
    • Have tested over 25 Minecraft Maps
    • Was an admin on DiamondCraft (shut down after 2 years mod exp.)
    • Can upload to YouTube
