You obviously know nothing. 1Gb of vram is plenty for a single 1080p screen, especially in a not very demanding game like minecraft.

I was talking about OP? It didn't have a video card in it.

And my computer has 1g virtual memory, so yeah I know that would be fine.

Does it have an integrated video card? If so that would probably be why.

    It's pretty common.

I have a GeForce GTX 555 graphics card. Not entirely sure what you meant by integrated though.

i quickly skimmed it, and read comments, and saw you saying "I bought game maker so there's no water mark" then "if you want me to change programs tell me now" made me believe you are going through with gml

Yeah I also just realized which post you quoted. Sorry if I sounded like an asshole.

gamemaker has a super bad name, every game that has been said its made with game maker has been flamed, soooo your going to get a lot more flaming soon. other programs, unity or learn to use Java, and will be seen as "wow" compared to "oh game maker, I could make this in a few hours"

EDIT: Pardon me, thought you quoted the OP.

I'm going to be using Java for this game.

Eh, you drink a cup every morning and it turns to a non-issue. Hell, on that basis its a health benefit.

Actually it turns into more of an issue because your body will start to need that caffeine, and will want a lot more of it. Then if you don't drink it one day your body goes crazy on you.

Aero was disabled, probably to improve performance.

This can happen if explorer is causing your computer to run slow. Usually with computers that have lower end specs.

Strange, I have one tab open and my computer has an i7 3.4ghz processor and 8gb's of ram.

I want to make them and I'll eventually make them all, but the point of this is which one should I make first...Because that one will have the most flaws and will make all the others better.

I'm going to go with control then.

Kinda sounds like the usual Zombie Sandbox Survival game to be honest...Not saying the idea isnt bad, but is there any unique thing that sets it off from Project Zomboid, or Survival Crisis Z?

Project Zomboid is the closest for what I'm aiming for, also Survival Crisis Z is pretty similar. There's a specific unique feature to my game in the campaign mode (which I'm not open to talking about it) that is going to be a bit different than other games.

There will also be different types of barricades you can set up, tons of different items which you can use for different things (ex. a fuel pump so you can get fuel out of gas stations since they won't pump because of power outages), and zombies are going to react extremely similar to ones in movies and TV shows such as The Walking Dead.So basically I'm trying to make it as real as possible to a real situation if there was a zombie apocalypse in real life.

I agree that its difficult to model 3D play areas but you can make meshes in external programs (don't ask me how).
Unity actually has fairly good preformance even with a fair few objects on screen at once I do see why you wouldn't want to use unity for making a 2D game though.

I could also try to help with textures, just take a look at the texture pack I've made which is in my sig if you want an idea about my texturing standpoint.

Yeah PM me your skype and stuff so we can talk a little more about that.

I've used other modeling programs such as anim8r, blender, ect. They're not technically difficult to work with, it's just the artistic skills aren't there for me.
