    I have a suggestion could you maybe add a VHS player for the TV and you can find VHS tapes in loot chests they would have basically pre defined clips some just animals in a field or of a village (basically home footage) but the ones found in more dangerous areas for example temples,dungeons,mine shaft strongholds would be more ominous (like found footage horror films). And even if this isn't in the main furniture mod I think It could be a good idea for a add-on for your furniture mod.But its your mod do as you please

    Ships cannot yet be damaged, but I like some of these ideas once they can.

    The ships will sink as quickly or slowly as the water can flood them, depending on how badly they're damaged.


    Life boats: Use vanilla boats for now, or hang a small boat over the side with pistons to set it loose quickly. I think Hac_kit_en was planning ropes for his masts and sails add-on to raise and lower sails, so maybe these could also be used for lifeboats.


    Flares: Firework rockets.

    Iron ships: Already possible if you displace enough water to float it.


    Icebergs/larger oceans: This mod doesn't change world generation, but should already be compatible with many other mods that do, or use a "large biomes" world to get larger oceans. Collision damage would be a cool feature, that would most likely apply to anything you hit going fast enough.


    Storms that sink ships: Ships could possibly be made to take on water during vanilla thunderstorms, requiring watertight hatches on deck, or pumps to bail out the water, or risk of lightning strikes.


    Wireless/radio: Use chat for now, but I think radio/radar/beacons would be a good idea for navigation and remotely-operated craft.

    Torpedoes: Also a cool idea, but I'm not sure what good they'll do if you're already sinking.


    "davits"? I think autoincorrect got you on this one, unless it's a nautical term I'm not familiar with.

    I have some ideas Life Boats,flares,ships made of iron icebergs that can destroy your ship sometimes enough to sink it, larger oceans, storms at sea

    that can destroy your ship and sink it and if not implemented slow sinking no insta-sink plus ways to lower lifeboats by ropes using davits

    plus maybe wireless telegraphs or ham radio to send out a s.o.s when sinking, plus maybe torpedoes when sinking

    how does that sound
