Hi, I'm coding a texture generator that will be the base layer for hopefully a lot of animal skins that I'm making in the default resolution.
This is an experiment in scratch-building, to see if making this set of textures is something that I want to do. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes development and I'll be showing completed animal skin textures every once in a while, and possibly uploading when there ends up a decent amount, but for right now, it's just to see where it goes.
First up is a dolphin, and I'll be going over my skins in layers, so they won't be set in stone just yet.
I've made a good base layer for the salmon, and will need to find the box-alignment-template for that model.
Could you explain what you are doing in more detail? Im not sure if you are generating a noise base layer or making procedural based textures or something else?
