Hello everyone, I want you all dead. That's why I have created the Deadly Feesh mod for Minecraft. If you have played a hardcore-style modpack such as Jadedcat's Magic Farm, or Eyamaz' Blood and Bones, you are probably very familiar with getting eaten alive by hoards of silverfish(feesh) upon digging a tunnel. If you've played a modpack with the Nether Ores mod, you've probably also had experience with the even deadlier hellfish(feesh) which reside in netherrack. And you know what? I've decided that those feesh just aren't deadly enough. Sure they are pretty darn deadly, but their intended purpose is only really to discourage strip mining. With this mod, I intend to discourage living.
Features:
This mod, intended for use in hardcore-style modpacks, adds significantly more danger in the form of 12 new, highly dangerous silverfish(feesh)-type mobs and one boss (it also adds some other stuff, but that isn't nearly as dangerous). Details on each one are as follows (although you may have more fun if you don't spoil yourself...or just die a lot more):
(New!)Commonfish(feesh):
Most likely one of the first feesh you will see when starting a new game, Commonfish, given their name, are rather common, spawning in forests and plains rather frequently. They are passive by nature, and while they will attack when threatened, they aren't very strong, making them easy to kill. In addition, they like to scavenge, making it so they will drop a variety of useful supplies when killed, making them rather useful to a beginning player. There are definitely no nasty surprises when it comes to these feesh...none at all...
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 15 (7.5 hearts)
-Speed: Slower than silverfish
-Attack: 4 (2 hearts)
-No knockback resistance
-Non aggressive unless attacked...most of the time
-Spawning Conditions: Being in a forest or plains biome
Icefish live in cold and snowy areas. They hide under the snow and ice waiting for a victim to walk past (they have a chance to spawn nearby when the player is walking on snow or ice). Their ice-covered shells make them more resilient than normal silverfish. While they don't appear in swarms too often, their attacks will freeze the player, drastically reducing their movement speed and limiting their vision, which could be lethal when other mobs are nearby. In addition, icefish are so cold that they leave behind a trail of supercooled snow. Be very careful, as this snow will freeze anything that walks on it save for the icefish themselves. Fortunately, supercooled snow will slowly melt and turn back into regular snow.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 20 (10 hearts)
-Speed: Same as Silverfish
-Attack: 7 (3.5 hearts)
-Knockback Resistance: 30%
-Inflicts frozen on hit
-Spawning Conditions: Walking on snow or ice
-Drops: Frozen Shell
Magmafish(feesh):
The counterpart to their icy cousins, Magmafish like to hang around lava. They have a hard rocky shell with veins of flowing magma underneath. Their rocky skin makes them even tougher than Icefish, and makes them nearly impossible to knock back. Be extremely careful when killing them because they can also create lava upon death.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 30 (15 hearts)
-Speed: Same as silverfish
-Attack: 8 (4 hearts)
-Knockback Resistance: 100%
-Inflicts fire on hit
-Spawning Conditions: Standing near lava
-Drops: Molten Core
Drownerfish(feesh):
When being swarmed on all sides by all kinds of nasty mobs when night rolls around, a common strategy is to retreat to a large body of water, as most mobs are terrible swimmers. Some players who don't want to deal with mobs may also just live out there, making some kind of stupid, underwater base where nothing can get to them. This is why I have introduced the Drownerfish, which will give you a fear of water so bad that you won't even want to drink any. Drownerfish can lurk in any pool of water that's at least 4 blocks deep (maybe, there's a weird formula for it). If you linger in the water for too long or are just unlucky, you'll soon have a swarm of Drownerfish biting at your feet. Now Drownerfish aren't any stronger than normal silverfish, but what makes them scary is that if you are hit by one, you get inflicted with a nasty ailment "Waterlogged". This essentially forces you to sink to the bottom of the water you are in (think Watery Grave from Ars Magica 2). If you are in a large body of water such as an ocean, this can spell almost certain death by drowning. Hopefully next time, you'll bring a boat.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 10 (5 hearts)
-Speed: ???
-Attack: 4 (2 hearts)
-No knockback resistance
-Inflicts waterlogged on hit
-Spawning Conditions: Swimming in water of a certain depth
-Drops: Aqua Sac
Ghostfish(feesh):
If you haven't been convinced that I am a terrible person after reading about all the previous feesh, this variety of them will remove all doubt. Ghostfish were my original idea for this mod, and they remain the most terrifying of my creations. In order for Ghostfish to spawn, you only need to do one thing, live. When you play a hardcore-style modpack, you are expected to die, over and over and over again. By refusing to do so, you have put shame to the creators of said modpack. In my eyes, that's an awful thing to do, so I have created the Ghostfish as a punishment for your wrongs. If you live for at least 2 consecutive days, you will then have a random chance each night to become cursed with my wrath. After that happens, the following night, some Ghostfish will be spawned with the single goal of killing you. If you're living in some super fortified base, or maybe are hiding up in the sky, you are not safe, as Ghostfish can fly and pass through walls, and they will track you to the ends of Minecraft (That actually needs testing lol). If you fail to die to these Ghostfish, they will continue to spawn from then on, every other night, in greater numbers, with increased strength and speed. There are two ways to end this torture, the first is to die, which will remove your curse. The second is to survive my final wave of Ghostfish. If you can do this, then congratulations, you have defeated me (but are still lame for not dying).
"Detailed" Stats:
-Health: ???
-Speed: ???
-Attack: ???
-No knockback resistance
-Known to cause extremely quick death
-Spawning Conditions: Making Lyeoj angry by not dying
-Drops: Soul Dust (Wave 3 and higher)
Junglefish(feesh):
The jungle has always been one of my favorite biomes to live in, with lush green plants, adorable kitties, jungle temples, and best of all, extremely low mob spawns. That's right, the large amount of bush cover gives hostile mobs very little spawning space, allowing one to wander the jungle at night with low risk of danger. If you have this mod installed however, I'm afraid that having a low risk of danger anywhere is unacceptable, so I have introduced the nasty Junglefish into the world. If you walk on any leaf or grass blocks in a jungle biome, you have a chance to spawn a few Junglefish nearby (they will spawn on leaf blocks unlike normal mobs). Junglefish aren't too tough in terms of health, but they move pretty fast, and their bite inflicts a deadly neurotoxin. Symptoms of it may include: dizziness, weakness, sluggishness, loss of energy, hunger, blindness, and a chance of instant death. Don't forget your milk!
P.S. I know jungles can be super rare these days, but don't worry, if you want to get killed by these feesh without having to search as much, they rarely spawn in roofed forests as well. >:D
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 12 (6 hearts)
-Speed: Slightly faster than silverfish
-Attack: 7 (3.5 hearts)
-No knockback resistance
-Inflicts deadly neurotoxin on hit
-Spawning Conditions: Being in a jungle or roofed forest
-Drops: Toxin Gland
Bloodfish(feesh):
Maybe I've gone soft, but this feesh probably isn't going to kill you. Bloodfish are parasitic creatures that live inside a host and feed on them. Due to a mysterious outbreak that happened as soon as you installed Deadly Feesh version Alpha 1.2.0, many of the passive animals have been infested with Bloodfish. What this means for you is that on rare occasions when you kill a passive mob like a cow or a pig, a Bloodfish will pop out. This Bloodfish, still hungry and needing a new host, will likely attack you on the spot. If you are bitten, the Bloodfish will immediately disappear, making you wonder where it had gone. Shortly after being bitten, you will probably realize that something is not right. That is because the Bloodfish is now inside you. Thankfully, your immune system will be able to fight back, removing the parasite in about 10 minutes. However, you are in for a very unpleasant experience for those 10 minutes as the Bloodfish attempts to feed on you. What exactly it will do to you, I'm not even sure, but the one thing that I do know is that Bloodfish love milk, drinking any that comes into your body, preventing it from removing any other potion effects while its active. While not (usually) deadly on its own, if you're inflicted with a certain neurotoxin while a Bloodfish is inside you, it's game over.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 10 (5 hearts)
-Speed: Quite a bit faster than silverfish
-Attack: 3 (1.5 hearts)
-No knockback resistance
-Inflicts Bloodfish Parasite on hit and disappears
-Spawning Conditions: Killing livestock
-Drops: Tissue Sample
Miragefish(feesh):
(I'm sure many of you thought that I would leave the desert alone since it already gets plenty of mob spawns...well you thought wrong!)
Recently, the number of people reported missing in desert regions has spiked dramatically. Many people have started to believe that a curse has been laid upon the desert. One of the few people who supposedly experienced this "curse" and survived gave a description of what exactly happened:
"Shortly after entering the desert, I saw something shimmering in the distance. It appeared to be a mirage, taking the shape of a silverfish. However, I then began to have second thoughts when it started hissing and moving towards me. All doubt was removed when the thing jumped up and bit me, much to my shock. I immediately swung my sword at it, but it vanished the moment my blade made contact. I was not safe though, as a new one of these mirages had materialized behind me. I swung at the mirages countless times, but there would always be another to replace the one I destroyed. Much to my dread, sometimes taking out a mirage would spawn two in its place, so I soon had a huge swarm of them all over me. When I could stand up to their bites no longer, I ran for my life. I ran into the forest, cowered behind a tree, and closed my eyes, bracing for my death. However, it never came, the mirages had all disappeared, making me wonder if they were all in my head the whole time..."
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 10 (5 hearts)
-Speed: Slightly slower than silverfish
-Attack: 6 (3 hearts)
-Knockback resistance: ???
-Disappears when hit with melee or bow and another will appear nearby with a chance of a second one
-Spawning Conditions: Being in a desert
-Drops: Nothing
Acidfish(feesh):
I'm sure many people already don't like hanging out in swamps, but now there's a big reason to steer clear of them. Rising from the toxic ooze, Acidfish are a particularly nasty varitey of feesh, and that's saying something compared to many of the others. Extremely cunning, Acidfish wear down their prey by spitting globs of acid, which can melt through the strongest of materials. If you are hit with the stuff, you better start running as fast as you can, as your armor will no longer do you any good.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 16 (8 hearts)
-Speed: Slower than silverfish
-Attack: 4 (2 hearts)
-No knockback resistance
-Spits acid, when hit by it, all damage to the player ignores armor
-Spawning conditions: Being in a swamp or roofed forest
-Drops: Acidic Mud
Corrosive Sword:
You can craft 9 acidic mud dropped by Acidfish in a 3x3 grid to make concentrated acid. While this acid is extremely powerful, it seems to effect gold rather slowly. If you combine this acid with a gold sword (via shapeless crafting), you can get a blade that can be used against armored enemies to nullify their protection. Unfortunately gold is still a terrible weapon material, so you may want to bring a backup weapon to do the damage after you have corroded your enemy's armor.
Endfish(feesh):
A new denizen of the end, and much more dangerous than those lame endermites, Endfish are creatures with spatial manipulation powers stronger than those of the more common endermen. When the player is in the end, an Endfish may sense their presence and teleport near them. When they spot the player, they will fly towards them and attack. If the player is hit, their own gravity will become distorted, causing them to slowly rise into the air while simultaneously disorienting them, making them an easy target for follow up attacks. Endfish, being rather clever, will attempt to teleport behind the player to initiate these attacks. Those who can gain their bearings long enough to defeat an Endfish still however may find themselves in great danger, as they may have floated an extreme distance off the ground due to being hit multiple times.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 20 (10 hearts)
-Speed: ???
-Attack: 8 (4 hearts)
-Knockback Resistance: 30%
-Hits cause the distortion effect on the player, causing them to float into the air while disorienting them
-Spawning Conditions: Being in the end
-Drops: Ender Pearl (100%), Distortion Pearl Fragment (rare)
Darkfish(feesh):
This feesh may look terrifying, but trust me, you would rather be able to see it. Darkfish can appear in almost any location, as long as the player is standing in the darkness. While Darkfish are in the shadows, they can turn invisible, only leaving behind a faint trail of particles. In addition, if a Darkfish attacks a player while it is invisible, the player will become almost completely blind. This is no ordinary blindness effect, it is so severe that you will be unable to see a wall unless you are already touching it. Darkfish also gain life regen while invisible, making it extremely easy for them to keep their health up while the player is blindly flailing around. If a Darkfish ends up moving near a light source however, it will lose its invisiblity, regen, and blindness effects, making it much easier to deal with. If you want to survive, stay in the light.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 20 (10 hearts)
-Speed: Same as silverfish
-Attack: 7 (3.5 hearts)
-No Knockback Resistance
-Turns invisible, gains regen, and inflicts the player with blackout (severe blindness) while in low light levels
-Spawning Conditions: Standing in an area with a low light level
-Drops: Light-Distorting Dust
(New!)Voidfish(feesh):
Seeming to rise out of the void itself, these feesh made of pure darkness seem to exist only to consume more of the world. And by more of the world, that really only means you. If a Voidfish spots you and you are too close, you will be drawn towards it as it tries to consume you. Be extremely careful, as getting damaged by a Voidfish is just as dangerous as standing in the void itself.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 30 (15 hearts)
-Speed: Pretty slow
-Attack: 4 (2 hearts, ignores armor)
-Knockback Resistance: 50%
-Draws the player towards itself, making escape difficult
-Spawning Conditions: Being too close to the void (y-level < 14)
-Drops: None
?????(Boss):
If this thing shows up, you are done for. Said to be a godlike being manifested in the mortal plane, this creature appears to be the source of the Ghostfish curse. The legend says that if someone who has been cursed lives for too long, this being will personally appear to take that person's life. It is speculated that it will show up after a curse victim has lived for thirteen days, as no one with the curse has survived longer than that.
Recently, a group of researchers studying the curse managed to construct a rather peculiar object. According to their notes, it is constructed with 4 soul fragments, 4 light-distorting dust, and 1 light-absorbing dust. People have concluded that the object is a direct link to this same unknown being, as the researchers, as well as everyone else who attempted to construct the object, all died.
Use this item to summon the boss. Alternatively, it will appear the following night if you survive 13 nights of the ghostfish curse.
Unknown Artifact:
If by some stretch of the imagination you manage to defeat the unknown creature, you will be rewarded with a mysterious object. While it would take a god to properly harness its immense power, it may be possible to channel a fraction of its energy in a few ways:
Distortion Staff:
By combining the artifact with the space-distorting properties of the endfish, and the light-distorting properties of the darkfish, and then charging it with the soul energy of ghostfish, you have managed to create a staff that can fire projectiles that mimic the distortion orbs created by the unknown creature. After crafting the Distortion Staff, combine it with a soul fragment to charge it.
Hold right click with the Distortion Staff for about half a second to charge it up, then release to fire a distortion orb. The distortion orb will target a random entity in a 15 block range and fly towards it. When it hits the enemy, it will cause temporary blindness and fling the enemy in a random direction. Shift right-clicking with the staff can let you cycle through different target groups. You can set the staff so it targets all entities, hostile mobs only, or players only. Firing an orb from the staff uses its charge, when the staff is out of charge, it will revert to an uncharged staff, which you can then combine with another soul fragment to recharge.
Formless Sword:
Exposing soul fragments and light-absorbing dust to the unknown artifact's power has managed to fuse them into a very unique material. It is extremely resilient to the point of being unbreakable by normal means, yet it is somehow very easy to mold and shape. It also seems to be capable of absorbing a variety of materials into itself, allowing it to take on new properties. It seems like a weapon shaped out of this material could be quite useful.
The Formless Sword has especially strong reactions to the materials dropped by the different varieties of feesh. If the player has any of the base (not concentrated) feesh materials in their inventory, shift right-clicking with the sword will cause the sword to consume one of them (starting with the top left slot in the player's inventory). The sword will then become temporarily infused with that material, adding a unique effect to the next attack you do with the sword. The different effects the sword can gain are as follows:
-Acidic Mud: The target very briefly gains the corroded armor debuff (attacks will ignore their armor)
-Tissue Sample: Hitting a target will heal you for 4 hearts and grant a few seconds of regeneration
-Light-Distorting Dust: The target will be inflicted with the blackout debuff for a few seconds
-Distortion Pearl Shard: The target will be inflicted with the distortion debuff
-Soul Dust: Hitting a target will grant you the spectral buff
-Frozen Shell: The target will be frozen
-Toxin Gland: The target will be inflicted with neurotoxin for a decent amount of time
-Molten Core: The target will be set on fire and burn up to 25 seconds
-Aqua Sac: The target will be inflicted with the waterlogged debuff
Displacement Orb
The extremely pressurized water stored in a flood sac and the superheated condensed magma contained within a pulsating core naturally do not want to mix. However, using the space-bending properties of distortion pearls and the power of the unknown artifact to superimpose them together in space yields an object that doesn't seem physically possible. This object is very unstable, trying to constantly tear itself apart, but with the power of the unknown artifact preventing it from doing so, it instead tears through space.
While the Displacement Orb has power, hold right click to charge it up, and release after a few seconds to activate it. The player will gain a buff called "Warp Shield" to signify that the orb is active. The next time the player takes damage while this buff is active, the orb will channel its instability into space, preventing the damage and teleporting the player to a random (nearby) location. This will stabilize the orb, requiring you to recharge it every time you want to absorb a hit. When attacked by another player while the Warp Shield buff is active, the attacker will also become disoriented.
Golden Egg
By using the odd properties of feesh essence to mutate the eggs of bloodfish, and using the unknown artifact's power to fuse them together along with a large amount of gold, you can create a mysterious egg that appears to contain a creature made out of solid gold. Try right clicking it to cause it to hatch.
Aww, it's absolutely adorable! Its brilliant shine makes it a symbol of respect among many of its feesh relatives. If you stand near it, most varieties of feesh will not attempt to spawn near you. If you give the Goldfish its favorite food (a golden apple naturally), it will grow more affectionate towards you and follow you around, making it the equivalent of a mobile feesh repellent spreader. Like most pets, right clicking will signal it to either follow you, or stay put. If you notice that the Goldfish is not in good shape, signaling it to stay put will let it regenerate its health (thankfully, it is pretty sturdy though). Even better, if you shift right click the Goldfish, you will put it on your head so you can easily carry it around. The Goldfish will be grateful for not having to walk, so it will gladly share its regenerative powers with you!
Feesh Spawn Protection
As deadly as my feesh are, there will probably come a point where your deathly fear of my feesh turns to annoyance. For example, if you are someone who likes to use lava for lighting, you will probably have to deal with the occasional Magmafish. Or you could like building things out of ice and snow, in which case you will have Icefish all over your floor. I made these feesh to make certain areas dangerous, but not to annoy you at all times in your own base. This is why I have introduced a (somewhat expensive) way to stop feesh from spawning in areas that you will likely be frequently visiting. Below is the process to follow:
Icefish, Magmafish, Junglefish, and Drownerfish drop the 4 items needed for Feesh Essence
The items are from left to right: Frozen Shell, Molten Core, Toxin Gland, and Water Sac
You can take these four items and combine them via shapeless crafting to create a Weak Feesh Essence:
Combing four Week Feesh Essences via shapeless crafting then gives you a Concentrated Feesh Essence:
Finally, combine this Concentrated Feesh Essence with a water bottle to make a bottle of Feesh Repellent (which I spelled wrong lol). If you drink it, you will be granted 5 minutes of Feesh Ward. This means that most kinds of feesh will no longer spawn near you.
(Note: This is now crafted using the Feesh Essence Extractor, see the section on the Feesh Essense Extractor)
A bottle of Feesh Repellent is great and all, but it's only a temporary solution to an annoying feesh problem. If you want a more permanent solution, it's gonna be a bit more expensive. To prevent the four types of feesh from spawning in a certain area, you will need a Feesh Repellent Spreader, which grants everyone in a 20 block radius of it Feesh Ward in a similar manner to a beacon. Hence why you need a beacon to craft it!
At least I was nice so the spreader will infinitely provide protection without any sort of power or fuel. Just place it and you're good to go!
Feesh Extracts:
Some people who are playing with this mod installed may not always want to fight my deadly feesh. If they don't want to deal with them and just avoid them, then they won't die, and that's no fun. That is why I have decided to give a bit of an incentive to take on my feesh. If you manage to fight your way through hordes of my feesh, you may be lucky enough to gain enough materials to make a few Feesh Extracts. Details are as follows:
"Concentrated" Feesh Materials:
(Too lazy to take 5 different screenshots)
The materials you get from killing feesh can now be combined in a 3x3 crafting grid to gain a single, much more potent material. Said material is the base for making a powerful feesh extract of that corresponding feesh type.
Feesh Essence Extractor
The Feesh Essence Extractor is a machine that takes concentrated feesh materials and combines them with vanilla potions to brew powerful Feesh Extracts.
The GUI for the Feesh Extractor has 4 slots. The slot on the far left is used for concentrated feesh materials. The slot on the far right is used for vanilla potions. Each feesh extract requires one concentrated material and one potion (see each extract for exact recipes). The bottom slot is for feesh essence, which is used as fuel. It will take 4 weak feesh essence or 1 concentrated feesh essence to provide enough fuel to make one extract.
When the process is completed, the extract will appear in the center slot
As a note, this block is also now required for making feesh repellent. You create it with a water bottle in the potion slot and a weak feesh essence in the material slot (this makes it one weak feesh essence more expensive but I'm mean so yay).

-Also nerfed Ghostfish Extract so you now take one fixed heart of damage per hit instead of half a heart
v.Beta1.2.0:
-Added ?????, a new, extremely dangerous boss!
-Added a new item, an Unknown Soul, crafted with 8 soul fragments around a nether star, this will summon the boss
-Alternatively, the boss will appear if you live 14 days after being cursed.
v.Beta1.1.1:
-Laid the groundwork for adding fog effects which will be used in the next major update
-Being infected with a Bloodfish Parasite now creates a reddish fog on the screen
-The blindness effect from the parasite creates an even more intense red
-Being frozen creates a thick blue fog on the screen that makes it difficult to see
v.Beta1.1.0:
-Ghostfish spawning at wave 3 and higher now drop soul dust, a new material
-Added a concentrated form of soul dust, soul fragments
-Added Feesh Extract: Death, a new Feesh Extract made with a soul fragment and an invisibility potion. Grants 10 minutes of the new spectral buff.
-Bloodfish Extract now removes Bloodfish Parasite
v.Beta1.0.0:
-Upgraded to Beta status because I felt like it!
-Added 5 "Feesh Extracts". These are potions that grant powerful buffs based on the feesh that they were made from.
-Added the Feesh Essence Extractor, a machine powered by feesh essence that can combine vanilla potions with feesh materials to create the feesh extracts.
-The four feesh materials used to make feesh essence can now be crafted into a concentrated form by crafting 9 of them together in the 3x3 grid. These concentrated materials are used for making the feesh extracts.
-Bloodfish now drop tissue samples, a new feesh material that can also be concentrated and made into a feesh extract.
-Feesh Repellent is now made in the Feesh Essence Extractor by combining a water bottle and a weak feesh essence.
-Drop rates for feesh materials decreased slightly
v.Alpha1.4.0:
-"7 Deadly Feesh" update!
-Added the Miragefish! A desert-dwelling feesh that may or may not exist!
-The Feesh Ward buff now works on Miragefish
-Updated the Ghostfish texture to match the transparent Miragefish texture
-Tweaked the Ghostfish curse to be slightly more common because I felt like it
-Lowered the amount of Feesh Repellent Spreaders you get from crafting from 4 to 3
-Spelled Repellent correctly lol
v.Alpha1.3.0:
-Added unique drops for Ice, Magma, Jungle, and Drownerfeesh
-Added Feesh Repellent. It is crafted with the new drops and induces a new effect, Feesh Ward, that prevents Ice, Magma, Jungle, and Drownerfeesh from spawning nearby while active.
-Added a new block, the Feesh Repellent Spreader. It acts like a beacon, providing Feesh Ward to anyone in about a 20 block radius.
v.Alpha1.2.1:
-Added custom effect icons for the Waterlogged, Frozen, Neurotoxin, and Bloodfish Parasite effects, and they look pretty darn awesome!
v.Alpha1.2.0:
-Added a new feesh, the Bloodfeesh!
-Custom potion effect icons changed to slightly more relevant icons than the feather, although custom icons still need to be done
-Icefeesh now always try to spawn two at a time
-A few more tweaks that I probably forgot
v.Alpha1.1.1:
-Fixed the frozen and waterlogged debuffs which I accidentally broke upon introducing the neurotoxin
v.Alpha1.1.0:
-Added a new feesh, the Junglefeesh!
-Also a few tweaks to existing feesh spawn mechanics.
v.Alpha1.0.1:
-Reworked the check for the Magmafeesh spawn event so it can find lava blocks that aren't just at the player's foot level. Also it should be a lot less resource intensive.
As fun as it would be to have feesh pop out when people dig through any material you can think of. I don't really want to make any new kind of feesh that resides in blocks, as that would involve messing with worldgen, which is something I feel I could screw up very bad with my modding abilities. I am thinking of adding biome-specific feesh, similar to the ice or lava ones though. Perhaps a desert or jungle dwelling one would work nicely.
Anyways, while I'm open to suggestions for more content, I would prefer suggestions relating to things like balance, as I haven't really tested the mod much in an actual survival setting. If anyone is trying out the mod, I would also like it tested along with other various mods, firstly to see if it plays nice with them, and secondly, I am intending to balance it towards having other mods installed which give you access to more powerful gear (Most of the feesh are still extremely dangerous in full diamond).

I just love this. The concept is great, the names are hilarious (actually only the "feesh" part is), also the way you wrote the thread is also hilarious. Its not even in question what I am gonna do because its obvious. I will play with this! Because its awesome. Thumbs up. Add more feeeesh! (also how about some feesh that fit more into the category of being... well, pets rather than endangerments, feeding on, for example, plants instead of blood and stuff. Or a feesh that eats wood. So it ruins your base AND also cuts down trees when it hasnt eaten wood in a while. I think those would be quite fun (and dangerous). Also what about "dimensional feesh" that appear near any kinds of portals? They could have a bit of a distorted look, randomly disappear for a few seconds from time to time (invisibility), and cause things around them to twist... turning materials into dimensional similar blocks, or just completely unrelated ones (only very slowly, tho).) Would love to see those, especially the dimensional feesh!

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions!
Anyways, as a PSA, I have returned from a 4-day vacation and am back working on the mod! I dunno if I'll get back around to putting out a new update every day, but I will continue to add more cool and deadly stuff! To start it off, I have released the Alpha1.4.0 update adding the new Miragefeesh! With this addition, I could totally change the name of the mod to "7 Deadly Feesh", which sounds awesome, but I still want to add more so probably not lol.
For those who have been playing the mod, keep on testing for multiplayer and other mod compatibility, as well as any other bugs. And of course, suggestions are still more than welcome!
Big update time! I have added new potion-like items that can be created from the materials gotten from killing various kinds of feesh! These potions are very powerful with some rather unique effects. I've also added a fancy new machine for crafting them (yay?). With this update, I have decided to upgrade the mod to beta status! What that means, I have no idea, but keep testing it because I really want some feedback before I consider the mod finished.
...That awkward moment when you realize you have made the majority of the posts on your own thread.
Introduction:
(New!)Commonfish(feesh):
-Drops: Apple, Stick (3x), Wheat, Leather, Gold Ingot (rare), Coal (rare), Baked Potato (rare)
Icefish(feesh)
Magmafish(feesh):
The counterpart to their icy cousins, Magmafish like to hang around lava. They have a hard rocky shell with veins of flowing magma underneath. Their rocky skin makes them even tougher than Icefish, and makes them nearly impossible to knock back. Be extremely careful when killing them because they can also create lava upon death.
Detailed Stats:
-Health: 30 (15 hearts)
-Speed: Same as silverfish
-Attack: 8 (4 hearts)
-Knockback Resistance: 100%
-Inflicts fire on hit
-Spawning Conditions: Standing near lava
-Drops: Molten Core
Drownerfish(feesh):
Ghostfish(feesh):
Junglefish(feesh):
Bloodfish(feesh):
Miragefish(feesh):
Acidfish(feesh):
Endfish(feesh):
Darkfish(feesh):
(New!)Voidfish(feesh):
Feesh Extract Effects/Recipes:
Feesh Extract: Ice:
Recipe: Frozen Cortex + Potion of Slowness (1:30)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Icy Skin" buff. All damage except fire or void is reduced by half, your attacks inflict the frozen debuff on enemies, and you are granted regeneration if in a cold biome or somewhere where it can snow.
Feesh Extract: Fire:
Recipe: Pulsating Core + Potion of Fire Resistance (3:00)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Molten Fury" buff. All fire damage is converted into healing, your attacks set enemies on fire, and you become immune to knockback.
Feesh Extract: Water:
Recipe: Flood Sac + Potion of Water Breathing (3:00)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Seaworthy" buff. You can breathe and see more clearly underwater, your attacks inflict enemies with the waterlogged debuff, and you gain enhanced water movement, allowing you to dash around in the water.
Feesh Extract: Poison:
Recipe: Junglefish Antivenom + Potion of Poison (0:45)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Toxic Blood" buff. You are immune to poison and Junglefish neurotoxin, your attacks inflict neurotoxin, and you gain increased movement speed.
Feesh Extract: Blood:
Recipe: Constructed Bloodfish Egg + Potion of Healing I
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Bloodfish Symbiote" buff. You have a friendly Bloodfish living inside you, granting you random helpful buffs (resistance II, speed II, jump boost II, absorption, instant health, and saturation). The Bloodfish will also fight off any other hostile Bloodfish, removing the Bloodfish Parasite debuff, and will sap the blood of anything you attack, healing you.
Feesh Extract: Death:
Recipe: Soul Fragment + Potion of Invisibility (3:00)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Spectral" buff. Turn invisible while sneaking or sprinting (for a sneaky getaway). All damage you take is reduced to 2 (one heart). However, you take this damage regardless of armor. All damage you deal is increased by 1, and this 1 point of damage will ignore all armor.
Feesh Extract: Space:
Recipe: Distortion Pearl + Potion of Swiftness (3:00)
Effect: Grants 10 minutes of the "Gravitation" buff. Sneak to toggle upwards floating. Fall damage is negated. Your attacks will inflict the distorted debuff on enemies, making them an easy target.
Feesh Extract: Darkness:
Recipe: Light-Absorbing Dust + Splash Potion of Night Vision (2:15) (makes 4)
Effect: Acts like a splash potion, inflicts targets with 15 seconds of blackout, an extreme form of blindness, useless on mobs, crippling on other players.

P.S. v.Alpha1.0.1 is now live, yay
I couldn't help myself and added a Junglefeesh. Now available in the new v.Alpha1.1.0 update!

Now this mod need a good showcase, sadly, I don't know how to do a good showcase, so sorry . Love this mod though, very cool and fun concept .
I finally got with the program and put the mod on CurseForge, look at this fancy thing! Gonna be using it for all future downloads.
Definitely, I may not always implement them, but I will always consider them and may even tweak them or build off of them to best fit with the mod.
