Hi all! I know what my username on the forums is but call meGuz, Guzaboo, or strange person in charge of a mod. Remember to try to read the whole post before commenting.
I've got an idea for a mod that I think would make Minecraft much more enjoyable. This mod would add a lot more mobs and possibly a fewmore biomes. We'd have mobs specifically designed for the different biomes. Currently in Minecraft there are only a few mobs such as farm animals and a few others. I'd like to see deer, monkeys, and lizards, for example, placed in the different biomes. We might add more tamable mobs with special features like the cat scaring creepers away. Like I said, we're still gathering ideas, and this is why it's better tojoin the team now! Be a part of a revolutionary mod!

How much time can you put toward this: I have a lot of time to throw obsessively at this mod, enough to find an accurate object that describes how much time I have, make a model of it, and then make a painting that represents the mod, so we could literally throw my time at it.
Why does this mod interest you? I had always kind of seen most of the biomes in minecraft as a bit boring and plain, I guess that is kind of the intended point of them, you're supposed to spice us the biomes yourself and as a part of the sandbox experience, but I still feel like new biomes would open up the sandbox potential may more then they would decrease it in any way.
Other: No, I am not a melon pretending to be a potato. Yes, I have tried building a secret society before, it ended up trying to hide from me. No, I did not crash that hot air balloon into the tower. Yes, I do know you aren't wondering any of these things
Devil's advocate here, remember, the following is not mean't to be harsh-
This mod has no direction. At least that you've shown. All you've said basically is it will add more mobs, biomes, and biome specific mobs. That is not a very unique mod idea. You need much, much more information, plans, and ideas. Make your mod sound unique!

I agree with you, Eyrion (or Devil's advocate, I think). This mod needs more information. And that's why I'm looking for a team of modders to help guide the direction of this mod. The basic idea of the mod is to add many more creatures and realistically place them in biomes (kind of vague, I know). I think this website lays out the basic idea: Click Here
Thanks for acknowledging the lack of information. But I still believe, and I may be wrong because of the lack of information, that this mod may not be unique once it's open to play. Biome specific mobs/more biomes really is common nowadays. Advent of Ascension comes first to mind that fit those 2 specifications the best. Now you may offer many, many more mobs per specific biome than AoA, but what is the point? Do you plan on having features that revolve around adding those animals? Such as- sharktooth clubs, jaguar leggings, turtle helmets, frog-poison tipped arrows and the like? Or maybe not even armour/tools? There needs to, (In my opinion) be usages behind adding more mobs. And if you so choose to create the *why* behind the *what*, then this mod will be different than the other 1,000+ mods that add more biomes and mobs. Good luck.

I actually think those ideas are really cool (and kind of cruel :P). We probably will add special items. I don't like it when there's a mob that doesn't drop anything... You could always join the team and help point us in the right direction. You seem really creative.

You should make the gray wolves spawn in taiga and forest biomes since they mostly live in northern forest... Awhile back they lived in the Great Plains and the North Forest biomes of North America but now they migrated further North since farmers kept shooting them

I can see your posts... the forum is weird sometimes. As for the hognose snake, I think it is a good idea. What biome do you think it would go under?
I don't know what to think about the tank and small pets though... That's not really the aim of this mod. There's another mod I'm working on that you might be interested in, though.
