A Snapshot shall be available quite Soon! I have been over going so many problems since I'm not just adding a new block, but changing how the game process in order to get you the great features. Remember the snapshot will only have things that I officially think are Stable and doesn't create a lot of lag. Some new Ideas have been added. However, I forgot my charger in a hotel, they are sending it to me, and in order to have a download link to the snapshot, I need my computer charger. Please bare with me, and add Ideas, you shall be credited for the ones I choose. [9/9/2012]
This is still a WIP or a 'Work in Progress". So don't flame, or complain the full version is not out! Currently the mod is about the sky. Sooner or later I will add more realism! Don't suggest if it adds new blocks/items or mobs. Only small aspects that don't change the game completely. [6/7/2012]
This mod, changes to make minecraft feel like 'Vannilla" or like nothing changed. This is mainly meant to make the game more realistic without adding new items or blocks. For example, it lets clouds have a better feature, special things to happen in biomes. Not to fret, nothing drastic is added, only small things that may allow you to have a little better experience with a more realistic game. The mod is customizable, so you can have certain things install or not. And all of this is client side. So you can use this on any server you go on!
I am not held responsible to any corrupt worlds, problems, or any liability problems. If a problem occurs to you, make sure to contact me and I'll see if I can fix it for you. This is made by alaskafish and I do not let you redistribute this mod without my permission. Do not change coding and call it your own. I do not own minecraft, Minecraft is owned by Mojang AB. This mod is used for private use only. Thank you for choosing Vannilla Realism.
This is a Picture of The two layer clouds! This is for the Different types of clouds.
This is the Desert Heat and Desert Blinding. Notice the sides are a little hazy. Is the heat too weird?
I'm trying to work on focal lens glares. Really hard. If you look into the sun you get something like this:
Red = Haven't started Yellow = Working on it Green = Finished Black = Ideas Blue = Paused In Coding Purple = In Snapshop Cyan = Missing Texture/Models. Fixing Grey = Dropped Ideas. Italic Neon Green = New Idea(s)
Clouds are not just one simple cloud type. Different types of clouds such as, Stratus (Long flat clouds), Cumulus (Short but puffy clouds), Cirrocumulus (Broken clouds), Cirrus (high, and stretched out clouds) , and Overcast like Cumulonimbus (Thunder like clouds) [Working on]
Colored Clouds! When it rains, clouds are grey. When there's a thunderstorm, clouds are black [Haven't Started]
Double layer clouds (For different types) [Finished]
Clouds cast a some what type of shadow. [Finished]
Clouds look nicer [Finished]
No clouds over deserts, and very little over tundras, [Finished][Working on] (Tundras)
Different rain sounds. [Finished]
Dynamic Clouds [Haven't Started]
Blowing Leaves [Working On]
Stars flicker (After the 1.3 update when stars are smaller) [Haven't Started]
Stars are different colors (very few. Some red, and some faint yellow) [Working on]
Moon gives a gloomier glow. [Finished]
Moon's light depending on what moon it is (New moon, full moon etc) [Haven't Started]
Shooting stars. [Haven't Started]
Heat Blinding, If your in the desert for too long, your vision gets disrupted (FYI, This idea was based nikooo26 "clean weather") [Paused]
Snow Blinding, Like heat blinding, but when your in a tundra for too long the screen gets really bright. (True fact in real life) [Haven't Started]
Rain texture changes for different types of rain (EG: heavier, lighter, drizzle, flake snow Etc) [Fixing]
Focal Lens blur [Paused]
Warmer Torches (Redish to yellow) [Working on]
Desert Warmth [Paused]
Lava Coloring [Haven't Started]
Biome Torches (Colors depend on what biome you are in) [Haven't Started]
Gloomier - Warmth Coloring [Haven't Started]
This is so far my plan. In fact, I've started working on this mod. Sorry for the color coding... You know.. sometimes your just too lazy. Anyway, this mod will be showing snipbits of it, and you may try it out for your self. Please post suggestions, but they better not add any items/blocks/mobs. If anything it may be death animations, but right now I'm going to focus on weather. Then I will focus on more realism. Don't flame. And I will update this mod regularly. Please feel free to follow this! This topic will be edited many time to improve looks and over all performance. If you wish to work with me, great. I'f your good with coding too, I'll like that!
Silly, no snapshot available yet! Follow to get the most features!
Snapshot will be available quite soon. However I forgot my charger at a hotel, and it's being sent over. So I can't really give it out. Will only have the 'Stable' parts of the mod.

Sorry to correct you, but if you mean the "unmodded" version of Minecraft,
its called "vanilla".
Oh and keep working on it!
Well, yes it's modded. It just doesn't really remove the feeling of normal minecraft. Like Dynamic clouds (working on), It's still modded version, but slightly vinnilla. These changes are just atmospheric changes. To improve the world around you.
EDIT: Wait, I'm sorry, I didn't fully understand your question... I feel strange now.
Can you make this mod with dynamic Shadows when its done
I just look at see your "Pus in Boots" avatar... Aww you look so helpless. I'm not much of a shader modder, but I'm sure I can make it compatible. I'll make sure that certain clouds cast shadows depending at the current height.

I'd like to ask if anyone likes what I'm doing so far. My main point was to have a mod that added small details that make Minecraft more realistic without breaking the game. This means that you can still have a Vannilla world without getting a mod that uses your diamonds. If you like this I'd like it! I'm going to post some new stuff up soon. Hopefully the new clouds. I'd also like if people could tell be suggestions for categories or other things I should add. I will like to have people run tests and other stuff too, but please. Get this mod noticed. I want to make a mod for a purpose too!
Note to Admins: Please PM this, will this be moved into 'Mods' when I have a download link to part of my mod, or will it remain here until it is 100% finished. See Those are just features that I plan on adding. So this topic will be moved to the 'mods' section once a download link is here?
Cool mod. But its called 'Vanilla' not vinnilla or vannilla.
The desert thing is kinda annoying, what happens if your base is in a desert? Things like that give me a headache x_x

I like the idea of more than one type of cloud. Does it seem like it would add any significant amount of lag?
Well anyways, I agree with UnknownOne. Maybe it could check for a roof above your head before it starts to blind you?

Right now I'm using my "crap" computer. I have a laptop and a desktop. The laptop is where I do my coding, and the desktop is where I play on. These pictures are from my laptop. However I was using optifine for these pictures, so it maybe. Thought I was playing fancy straight through...
Also, this 'desert blinding' is very different. It's only if your in the open for 5-10 minutes. I got this 'heat blinding' idea from nikooos Clean Weather mod. His/Her desert blinding is very thick. To the point you can't see. I just want it that the outline of your screen is a little fogy. And the lighting is warmer to reduce that dull feeling. I'll try to have two downloads, for one with and one without.

I hear you. Thanks for correcting me. I've always said vinnilla like the ice cream . If your under shade, or shadows it wont happen to you. Only the lighting. The faint heat blinding is only the sides of the screen so it doesn't really hurt you that badly. I'm still wondering if I should keep the lighting for the desert. I think it looks hotter than duller.... I see that the desert blinding is a bit over power too. I'll try to make the .png animation smoother and only the corners and not everything until the midway curser.Note to admins. Can you change the title so it says "Vanilla Realism"? I'd like to start a new topic, but I like this one. Can you please change it?

Now I feel like ice cream ! Whyd you have to say that xD
I cant even wear a pumpkin without getting a headache, unless imusing my custom texture pack..
The blinding should just be very faded.
And maybe you could make water reflect somewhat?
And can you change each texture for the different types of clouds? Like my texture pack makes clouds look like cirrus, so would you be able to change the low clouds to look like cirrus uncinus and the high clouds look like culumus or something? Or would you be able to make clouds look real period? kinda like in this picture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Above_the_Clouds.jpg (maybe not quite that big but have them look like that, not so square like the default)?
If you could that would be epic. If not ill just stick to my texture.

I know what you mean man.I can't where a pumpkin, unless I remove the pumpkinblur.png file. It will be very shaded. The custom clouds is going to be on the lines of that too. They sure will look real period. Trust me... I'm doing good.
Sorry, I've been gone for quite some time. Interwebz failed for some time... I couldn't work on it for a long time. Please post your ideas. I'm running out of easier things to make...

I have an idea. Not sure if you alreadyare adding it but...
Maybe occasionly a large dark cloud will blow over, and when it does it starts raining. The darker the cloud gets the more close
and dense fog gets. Then when the cloud blows over everything is calm again. And maybe you could add tornadoes and hurricanes? xD Not sure if that is too hard.

Never thought of that. I am So adding that... Did I sound like a 15 year old sassy girl?... lolwut
Also, this more makes the game realistic in a way of not adding new items or blocks. It just means nicer cloud physics or stuff like that. So I'm not going to add tornadoes. Maybe some sort of mega storm like a hurricane...

I like it! It sounds like it would make my game lag more than it already does, but I will defiantly give it a shot.
Well, right now, doesn't lag. For me. And I have a computer that requires optifine to run a little more smoothly. So, for you most likely not. However when I took the screenshot I played with fancy on and stuff. I'm upgrading my drivers this summer!

I would like to be a tester, reporting back how well features work, etc, but I fear as this looks like a shader type mod, that my intel can't run it.
I began minecraft ~July 7 2011 1.7.3 Beta
