Hey there, I'm that2guy and I'm currently working on a mod called 'Better Weaponry' [MCVersion 1.7.2 / 1.8]. It will add a ton of new swords, bows, axes, and even some guns! Right now it's in Alpha state (Version 0.1.0) and the next version is almost done. I'm looking for some dedicated texturers to help me get some textures that weren't done in ver 0.1.0 due to time constraints, and overrall give the mod a more polished feel. Now, you won't get paid for this work, but if you're looking for something to do, have a crack at this! You will get credit and a link to your profile in the mod's description.
If you are not a texturer, then you can help out in other ways:
- Feedback / ideas: Small mod creators like me could always use some feedback to make the mod better in any way possible! Also, I would like some ideas to incorporate in a future update!
- Recommend the mod to friends and family; If you enjoy the mods, there's (almost) no better way of showing your support then by showing other people the mod!
- Report any bugs to me! I will bump any bugs to the top of my to-do list!
- Show any cool creations that have been made with this / would be cool to use this with (like CoD maps or something)

Plans for update 0.1.1:
- Grenade, fully modeled.
- Flashlight (idk why xD), fully modeled. Toggleable to states on and off.
- Sounds for the guns when you fire them
- Reduce the ammo cap on the guns
- Instead of the amount of ammo displayed in chat, have it in the top left corner of screen with some more information displayed aswell.
- Have some recoil when you shoot the guns (your head moves up)
- Lead sword & tools - Debating whether or not I should do this. Leaving till last.
- Finish all the textures
- Fix the item render for the items when dropped in the 1.8 version
Basically a lot of polishing up; making it feel more clean & user friendly.
Ideas for future updates:
- Throwable rocks and other items
- Kunai; throwable knives
- Machine gun
- Machete
- Flamethrower
- Custom Crafting table for guns
- Explosives (other than the RPG & grenade)
- Cryo-Grenade (blows up and freezes everything in an area)
- Nunchuks
- Pitchfork
- Suggestions appreciated!

Description:
This powerful 'gun' (if you can call it that) shoots out rockets. If someone rocks up with one of these, best be afraid.
RoF (Rate of Fire): 2 and a quarter of a second
Mag limit: 1 rocket
Damage per bullet: Explosions! (big ones)
TBA: Reload time: 2 seconds

Description:
This is the one hit kill gun; although it takes a while to reload. Soon I'll add a shift-to-scope feature, but it's proving to be more difficult then first expected.
RoF (Rate of Fire): Half a second
Mag limit: 10 bullets
Damage per bullet: About 20 hearts
TBA: Reload time: 2 seconds

This gun is designed for the people who just like to hold down right-click and kill everything without worries.

Mag limit: 30 bullets
Damage per bullet: 7 and a half hearts (should I lower?)

Adding in a ROF stat to all guns (how often a gun can shoot).
Assault rifle: Every tenth of a second
Sniper rifle: Every half of a second
Desert Eagle: Every two fifths a second
Bazooka (1.8) / RPG (1.7.2): Every 2 seconds
Also,
planning on adding a reload sound + time every time you run out of
stock in your gun! Possibly 0.1.2, I want to make the 0.1.x updates be
centred around the guns. Because 0.1.0 is the gun update.
The mag limits are also changing!
Assault: Decreasing from 64 to 30, since this was a suggested change from many people.
Sniper: Increasing from 4 to 10
Desert Eagle: Increasing from 4 to 8

feedback on these plans? The only feedback I've gotten was about the
assault rifle's mag limit, so I'm assuming all other parts of the mod

Working on 0.1.2! There's a new gun coming, so watch out for that!
