1. Get an iron pickaxe. You can find iron ingots either in a stronghold chest or in a dungeon chest.
2. Bring the iron pickaxe a cave and mine some diamond ore with it (Hint: If you press F3 and look at the y coordinate that is your height. You must be below y coordinate 18 to find diamond. I would reccomend inbetween 16 and 12 to find diamond. Don't go much lower or else you'll hit magma).
3. Get 3 diamond and 2 stick and rearrange them in this order in a crafting table: S=Stick and D=Diamond

This will make a diamond pickaxe.
4. Go back into the cave or into a different cave with the diamond pickaxe. Go as deep as you can. Look for magma. If you cannot find magma then go to another cave. Next look for water near the lava. The water must be at a higher elevation than the magma. If it isn't then find a different part of the cave with water at a higher elevation than magma. Make a path a path for the water to go through. Direct the path onto the magma and make sure it falls on top of the magma or else you will get cobblestone. The water will dry out the magma and form obsidian. Clog up the water source.
5. Mine 14 blocks of the obsidian with your diamond pickaxe. The obsidian will come up as slowly as if you were mining stone with your hands.
6. Come out of the cave and make a 4 by 5 frame out of the obsidian you mined (4 on the bottom and top, 5 on the sides).
7. Craft flint and steel by arranging an iron ingot, and a peice of flint (gotten as a ten percent chance while mining gravel) in this order. Crafting table not required. Flint=F and Iron Ingot=I
I
F
8. Using the flint and steel, right click on the inside of the frame made of obsidian. It should turn purple inside. Now all you have to do is stand inside the purple peice of the portal and it will take you to The Nether. Have a good time in The Nether! And please leave posts! Thanks for using my ultimate guide to The Nether.
