Hello, I have tried using a building trick that 'Jeracraft' uses in his 1.14 build hacks video.
Its basically where you put food on a lit campfire, extinguish it using a water splash potion and the uncooked food stays on the unlit campfire.
I've also seen that 'fWhip' uses this in his new 1.16 let's play series where he uses this method but has cooked food on an unlit campfire, which makes me think this bug (if it even is a 'bug') hasn't been patched.
The problem I'm having is that when I use the splash potion on a campfire with food on, the food drops off the campfire as well as being extinguished.
Does anybody have a solution to both raw and cooked food? Thanks.
Yeah, just using my imagination it sounded pretty boring but I watched Jeracraft's video and he's really got some very nice things made out of extinguished campfires!
Any way of getting cooked food on there, as mentioned 'fWhip' had done this recently.
Do you know which episode?
I found something in ep 2 at 8:40 that looks a bit like cooked pork chops but I think they might actually be uncooked potatoes?
The shape is more pork choppy but the color is more like potatoes.
--
He did mention using a texture pack.
--
And he does say something about just eating <something something> potatoes in here.
--
He also says something like "Now you can just put the food on after putting out the campfire, so you don't have to be so quick." Which might give some clue as to how it was originally done in 1.14 as well as excluding him doing anything special in 1.16

Sorry no idea.
But I'm curious. what's the point?
Just testing.
For decoration.
You mean like this?
Just place the food after extinguishing the campfire.

That doesn't work for cooked food though.
Or food that can't be cooked.
Just testing.

Try to extinguish the campfire with a showel, right clicking.
This.
