Yesterday me and my brother decided to create our first proper farm. We're not very familiar with farms so we were pretty nerviousthinking we would waste a ton of resources on a farm that doesn't even work. We tried to make a creeper farm that took us a couple hours to make, only for it to spawn 1 creeper every 30 minutes. For this farm we decided to follow the instructions in the video instead of trying to wing it like we did for the creeper farm (not very creative or original, I know, but it's the best we could do because we know nothing about this part of Minecraft). We followed this tutorial:
It took a while to finish (We also had to replace the endermite because SOMEONE forgot to place down some trapdoors), but in the end it was worth it. We got a ton of experience this way and we were able to finish upgrading our gear and now we're feeling confident enough to fight the wither boss (Also it's very satisfying to have xp swarming around you). This will be my brothers first time fighting the wither and it will be my first time in 3 years, so if you have any tips on fighting the wither I would love to see them.
That's pretty cool. I see you've gathered a bunch of xp already!
If you're planning to fight the wither I'd recommend crafting a Smite V sword. Two people carrying them can defeat the wither in seconds, but even a single person can bring it down in no time if you're in the right place.
You can fight it anywhere but you should preferably do it someplace where it can't fly off. Fighting a flying wither can be really annoying, even with an elytra, so I'd suggest doing it near the roof of the nether (Since withers can't destroy bedrock), or somewhere underground.
I've seen a wither strategy on youtube that I haven't tried myself yet, but it looks effective. They spawn the wither underground in a small room (like, just big enough to hold it), and the room is connected to a long 1x2 tunnel. The person hangs out in the tunnel. Then, the person just runs up, hits the wither, and steps back for the wither to explode a layer of stone down the tunnel, without taking damage. Rinse, repeat, the wither is dead.
If you try that, definitely look it up before risking anything, because again... I haven't tried it and I might not be seeing the whole picture, lol.

Good luck! Keep us updated.
