Just came back to the game after 6 months or so of not playing, and I'm pretty sure I found some sort of pirate ship underground. Is that a bug or something?
Sorry for it being so dark, by the way, just brighten it if you can.
Obviously this I vary rare in Minecraft. I have found many shipwrecks however I have never come across something like this. No, it isn't a bug. I can confirm that this was part of the aquatic update which was released quite some time ago now. In real life, things like this can happen from tectonic plates moving and the earth's landscape changing which believe it or not, happens all the time. Due to this, there is no surprise that this could in fact occur in your Minecraft world.

Shipwrecks were added, along with ocean ruins and buried treasure chests, about 1 1/2 year ago in 1.13
You can find them in oceans and beaches, sometimes under water, sometimes on the surface and sometimes buried.

Just testing.
